Don’t disagree, really (though she was onto the FISA thing literally months before anyone else). But Claude Taylor has been right…a lot. And he said it too. But again, not sure it means a damned thing. If congress had any intention of impeaching Trump, they could do it 100 times over. The only way this makes any sense is if it is some kind of major charge that could push Republicans to flee the sinking ship. But “sealed indictments” have been a story for over a week now. How about we unseal them, if they exist.

Republicans: I guess it’s possible that President Trump had inappropriate contacts with the Russians during the campaign. But no one has directly linked him personally with doing anything irresponsible with regards to the Russians, so naturally we must give the benefit of the …

Trump: Hold my beer.

More info than we’ve shared with allies. Awesome. I can only imagine if a Dem had done this, that unassailably liberal MSM wouldn’t budge an inch as the Right howled its head off for months on end.

Just read on FP that NATO is scrambling on how to brief Trump, with the approach of using very short briefings and wrapping it all up as a result of his influence. Basically treating him like a child without him realizing it.

If indeed all of this stuff is just brushed under the rug, the republic is in fact doomed. I’m not an alarmist by nature, but at this point, anyone who cannot see that Trump is an unmitigated disaster for anything remotely resembling the idea of America that generations of citizens have held dear is, in fact, a traitorous idiot.

That ship already sailed. We are fucked. The GOP will pretend like this is nothing, because this isn’t the first time.

“But he’ll see everything, Mr. President! He’ll see the big board!”

I think what’s being overlooked here is how correct Republicans were last year when they repeatedly told the nation that those who mishandle classified info are unfit to hold high office.

The Daily Show is tweetstorming (one tweet per word): “HOW MANY TIMES WILL WE FIND REPUBLICANS CRITICIZING THE EXACT THING TRUMP IS DOING?”

And…

No no, nothing to see here folks:
“The president and the foreign minister reviewed common threats from terrorist organizations to include threats to aviation,” said H.R. McMaster, the national security adviser, who participated in the meeting. “At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly.”

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said in a statement that Trump and Lavrov discussed a broad range of subjects, “among which were common efforts and threats regarding counter-terrorism.” Tillerson said in a statement.
What an effing buffoon. Alec Baldwin would be a better President than him.

Pretty sure any of the Baldwin brothers would be.

Right now Moscow is like

Adrian Carrasquillo is tweeting like crazy from the Pool:

Their spin is “did not discuss sources, methods or military operations.” (Tillerson’s quote) That does not make the WaPo story ‘false’ - it says “President Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting last week, according to current and former U.S. officials, who said Trump’s disclosures jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on the Islamic State.” The parts I put in italics make it clear that it is the sort of intel where even disclosing the mere fact that we know something inherently puts the source at risk. Tillerson’s statement and the WaPo story can both be completely true.

Fox is buying the spin - their web page is back to Hillary on top. No pun intended, sadly.

Here is McMaster’s statement in its entirety:

A brief statement for the record. There is nothing that the president takes more seriously than the security of the American people. The story that came out tonight as reported [emphasis mine] is false. The president of the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation. At no time, at no time, were intelligent sources or methods discussed. The president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known. Two other senior officials who were present, including the secretary of the state, remember the meeting the same way and have said so. Going on the record should outweigh the anonymous sources. I was in the room. It didn’t happen. Thanks, everybody.

Hmmm, notice what he didn’t say? “The president did not share highly classified information with the Russians.” Presumably because he can’t.

Actually, most of the folks on Fox were making this distinction just because the President didn’t reveal source and methods didn’t mean he didn’t disclose a threat that he no business discussing.

Reading between the lines with the mention of civil aviation, my bet is Trump said something along the lines of
we know they are planinng on using a laptop bomb to blow up a plane out of Cairo, or Qatar, Benghazi or Yazd, or some other city in the Middle East where we shouldn’t have good intelligence but do thanks to an ally.

Our president, the retarded child.:

Well, it is said to have something to do with the recent changes to allowed electronics because of a bomb, hence civil aviation. I think they have a source feeding them info about those plans and that source was just outed.
