My dream version goes something like this:

  • Feds bring charges
  • Trump pardons himself and all his cronies for everything.
  • Congress, fearing the the blacklash, 25th Amendments Trump away to a farm upstate where he can roam free with the other animals.
  • Trump gloats because he got off easy.
  • New York State hits Trump, Kushner, and the rest with a few thousand state money laundering etc. charges that President Pence can’t magic away.
  • Beyonce arrives in a solid gold limo and takes me to my new home in the sky.

Already posted once I think, but worth posting again.

One of GWB’s ethics lawyers.

Also: Fox News.

New York Times, crack reporting:

Sure, the US needs to use Russian communication equipment from a Russian embassy in order for Flynn to discuss the Syrian war w/ the Russian military.
Sounds legit.
GG NYT.

Certainly nothing to do with bad real estate deals, nope can’t be that:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2017-03-22/kushners-troubled-tower-debt-empty-offices-and-rising-fees

It’s beginning to look like inheriting real estate wealth does not make one an expert in how to government.

Since Jared’s pal was getting $500M on that Saudi weapons deal, I wonder if we would have seen his friend “investing” in Jared’s tower.

I wonder if the reason to visit Saudi Arabia is to have a secret meeting with ISIS and negotiate with them.

Yeah, wow, NYT.

Trump family trundles onto a plane last week and the NYT basically goes dark. They couldn’t break an egg with a hammer, much less a story on their own.

Meanwhile, the Washington Post, Reuters, and McClatchy are all feeding them their goddamn lunch. And finally Kushner and Ivanka come home two days early and suddenly there’s a story in the Times that the reason for all those illicit back channels which Kushner and Flynn opened had everything to do with diplomacy and Syria! You know, one that would let them use encrypted comms outside anything the US can get to. Because…world peace. Has nothing to do with needing a couple billion for Kushner Tower at 666 Fifth Avenue! NOTHING!

(BTW, at this point, anyone wanna guess who might be leaking to the Times? Seems like a toughie, but we might be able to triangulate it.)

Exactly. Why are people going all gaga over every single revelation, like the lastest Kushner “bomb”, when it is not even clear if those revelations are paper tigers drummed up by the Russians? Let the investigation takes its course, then decide. To judge now is as wrong as judging Hilary when Comey “reopened” her email enquiry.

Edit: This is needlessly snarky. I’ll keep it here for posterity but apologies (gif removed.)

LOL. Kushner lied on his security clearance form. That calls for at a minimum immediate suspension of his clearance because what is reported from the multiple meetings he omitted from his form (and that they have not denied) is called lying and concealment not oopsie I forgot! But of course since trump is so awesome and ignores nepotism he can’t fire his son in law so SURE everythingisfine.gif

When you already got Mueller doing the investigation, do you want to try Kushner by the court of public opinion, or let the investigation run its course and prosecute Kushner in court if there is ground? If you have so little faith in your own justice system, yes, then by all means nuke Kushner from orbit now. Just remember your courts halted Trump’s immigration ban.

Did these two things become mutually exclusive when I wasn’t paying attention? I’m not sure who or what you’re getting at. Mueller continues to investigate.

The Mueller investigation will probably not be finished and he may not even have made any public report before the 2018 elections. If we rely only on that, it is a license for any bad actors to continue business as usual until 2020+.

The only semi-rational reason to have “judged” Hillary would be based on party politics or gender. This story has nothing to do with either.

“save the American people”? Such messianic language is disgusting in a republic.

Are you ok with a guy who likely tried to collude with the Russians having top level security clearance?

Clearly he shouldn’t be thrown in jail yet, but continuing to have his clearance, when we know for a fact that he made material failures to disclose Russian contacts, is not normal.
