As best I can tell, Fox News would be perfectly ok with Chelsea Clinton taking a meeting with Iranian spies to get dirt on Trump.
That was pretty early though and the meeting was scheduled much later in the afternoon. Hard to read too much of that as an indication he was the eight attendee.

These guys at the meeting are so totally fucked. Stuff clearly went on that’s bad, and the Russians know exactly what happened.
That’s the thing that’s gonna fuck then hardest, because they have no way out now.
If shit comes out, they are fucked.
If they try to hide it? The Russians just have massive leverage over them. The Russians don’t really care that much about Trump being President. They just want to fuck stuff up for the US. If Trump doesn’t do it himself, Putin can just leak info, cause chaos, and fuck things up for the US.
In this situation, leading info about this meeting has basically no downside to Putin. Everyone knows they colluded with Trump at this point. Leaking info about the collusion is probably Putin’s best play at this point… Slowly, just like he did with info on Clinton. Just drag it out as much as possible, and paralyze Trump.
Unless he can get Trump to do stuff for him. If he can bend Trump he will protect him.
It’s really amazing that the GOP now wants to look the other way when their own president is in bed with Russia. They are supposed to be the hawks, but if it means tax cuts for their masters, sure, go ahead and let Russia subvert our democracy.

I have no doubt that the pee pee tape would be a big deal. But Trump wasn’t even in office yet. I’m not even sure that could be added as a reason for impeachment of Trump.
I know I’m a killjoy interrupting a shower of puns but … I really wish people wouldn’t obsess so much over the alleged kompromat tape.
It really doesn’t matter at this point. What it’s supposed to show isn’t a violation of any US law. And more to the point, it wouldn’t change the minds of any Trump supporters - they’ve already shown that they’re absolutely fine with Trump ignoring all the rules of propriety. Hell, his base would probably love to see it just because it’s anti-Obama.
The real problem with the tape obsession is it enables a false narrative of, “If the tape doesn’t exist, then the whole Russian thing is fake news.” As if the issue was entirely whether Trump hired some hookers and not whether he, y’know, sold out his country to a hostile foreign power. It’s a distraction, pure and simple.
You have to admit it would be the perfect aesthetic capstone to this whole debacle, though.

Icing on the cake, perhaps. I’m with @HumanTon though, it’s a distraction from what’s really important, the collusion with Russia and the upending of our election process. I don’t see anyone going to jail over the pee pee tape.

On the contrary, I wish people wouldn’t obsess so much about violation of law. It will take a long time to prove any laws were broken, almost certainly it won’t happen by 2018. The process could easily be short circuited by a pardon or three, or by firing the special counsel. And even if the stars align and everything goes our way, we end up with President Pence.
The real goal should be to take back the reins of government from an irresponsible party. So the real focus should be political, not legal. And if the pee tapes are real, they could be a useful political tool, for one thing by fracturing the GOP just as Lewinsky divided Democrats.
I certainly don’t buy the argument that no Trump supporters will ever abandon him. There is clear polling evidence that his support is eroding, and by definition that means that former supporters already exist.
