There are articles written about his team. These are the good guys in every sense of the word from what I have read about them.

It’s rather telling that she is blind to this, the most likely of possibilities. GOP/Trump history shows that the FUD machine is strong and that the GOP doesn’t have much interest in the responsibility of governing.

Maybe she is resisting the idea, because she thinks that talking about that option in the press constantly will help it transition into “normal”. But I don’t know.

Jennifer Rubin sometimes comes across as a bit naive to me.

She does a remarkable amount of fantasizing, to be sure. To be fair, I think that’s endemic to lifelong Republicans and center-right moderates who voted Republican frequently who have seen the party they thought they knew overrun by idiocy.

Possibly true. But it is not like we have to get a lot of Republicans to go along. Roughly as many in the house as opposed the healthcare bill. At somepoint the allure of President Pence, and not having to try and justify Trump’s behavior and his crime family would be appealing.

Because without that, there is virtually no hope of ending this anytime soon (in relative terms) and he isn’t in office until he dies (unless Schneiderman can put enough pressure on him with Rico charges to force him out. Having no hope sucks.

Actually, we do. At least for the long term health of our great experiment. The gop needs to take a long, hard look out how they’ve brought us to this precipice. Trump is but a symptom of a greater ill,of which Pence is also a part.

And who will dare subpoena them?

Jared Kushner’s full statement

“I was really busy!”

It was typical for me to receive 200 or more emails a day during the campaign. I did not have the time to read every one, especially long emails from unknown senders or email chains to which I was added at some later point in the exchange.

“I don’t recall!”

While I participated in thousands of calls during this period, I do not recall any such calls with the Russian Ambassador.

“My logic is awesome!”

Also, as I had done in other meetings with foreign officials, I asked Ambassador Kislyak if he would identify the best person (whether the Ambassador or someone else) with whom to have direct discussions and who had contact with his President. The fact that I was asking about ways to start a dialogue after Election Day should of course be viewed as strong evidence that I was not aware of one that existed before Election Day.

(Emphasis his.)

Jared just read part of his statement and ran away.

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) on Monday called for Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and a senior White House adviser, to publicly testify about inconsistencies and omissions in his security clearance application.

“It is imperative that the public hear Jared Kushner testify in an open session of the Senate Intelligence Committee, under oath, and support his claims with full transparency in the form of emails, documents and financial records,” Wyden said in a statement.

Wyden, who is a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said Kushner’s statement released Monday morning “raises far more questions than it answers.”

“His description of his financial relationships with individuals and businesses tied to Russia appears incomplete, at best,” Wyden said.

He cited Kushner’s comment that he has “not relied on Russian funds to finance” private sector business activities.”

Wyden called the claim “clearly the work of a clever lawyer trying to protect his client, not someone trying to clear up questions raised by Congress and the American people.”

“Kushner has repeatedly concealed information about his personal finances and meetings with foreign officials,” Wyden said. “There should be no presumption that he is telling the whole truth in this statement.”

No shit?

Speaking of Kushner.

Trump: Sessions is terrible! You’d know who’d be great? Rudy would be great. Get me Rudy!

Preibus: Uh, sir, we already tried to get him as a Cabinet member last winter, remember? But word was he wouldn’t be confirmed because of his dubious foreign connections. If we tried to replace someone with dubious foreign connections with another person that also has …

Trump: Why are you still talking? Get me Rudy!

Giuliani: No really, stick with Sessions. I have better things to do than spend the next several years being investigated.

Wow. When Ratso Giuliani won’t touch you with a ten foot pole…

I wonder if Christie would take the job?

Last night got me thinking, Christie really reminds me of someone. Not in the looks, but the expression and demeanor.

Reek.

I wonder if Trump ever dangled sausages in front of him too.
