I’d be great to see though. I’d be willing to grant them a small sliver of respect again if they passed.

They won’t pass.
Republicans: Trump fired Mueller and pardoned Manfort. I’m very concerned about that, but there’s nothing I can do. What I can do is tax reform.

It’s been said before but I’ll say it again. Republicans in Congress don’t really care about Trump. His presidency is ineffective, and for them Pence would be an improvement in every respect.
The only reason to keep supporting Trump is if it helps them maintain power in 2018/2020. And despite the handwringing among liberals, 35% of the vote is not enough to win re-election. So expect the GOP to move wherever the polls (or special elections) move.
Oh, and look here. Today’s Gallup poll shows an all-time low approval rating: 33%. And an all-time high disapproval rating: 62%. This was conducted before Manafort’s indictment was announced. If Trump doesn’t improve his numbers, the GOP will inevitably turn on him. And firing Mueller will not improve those numbers.
In fact, this is exactly why Congressional Republicans insist that Mueller stay on the job. Not because they care about the rule of law. But because if their prospects continue going down the tubes, they can use him to rid themselves of Trump.

This is the problem with car manufacturers, why do they let me drive faster than 70 mph? That is the speed limit!
Part of the purposeful idiot misunderstanding of things like the Fairness Doctrine that leads Trump to apparently genuinely believe that for every mean thing said about him on TV they have to say a nice one. . .
Here’s the chum:
Democratic power lobbyist Tony Podesta, founder of the Podesta Group, is stepping down from the firm that bears his name after coming under investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Your Fox News lead, soon enough.
I heard that Manafort guy was secretly a Clinton spy.

I heard Hillary forced him to perform cunnilingus and other satanic rituals.

Yeah, the morons who were telling me yesterday that Hillary & Podesta were going to be indicted are now calling Manfort a “Democratic operative”. I’m still waiting for an explanation of how hiring a Democratic operative as your campaign manager is a brilliant 4-dimensional chess move.
Hoo boy.
Manafort was released on a $10M appearance bond. Gates got a released with a $5M bond.

Just paid up $15 million between them and skipped out of the courthouse, huh?
This is why some people want the second act of The Dark Knight Rises to come true, dragging the elite out of their homes and throwing them on the street. Its like these guys are in a totally different world. Hope they rot in prison.
Actually, they paid $0. Both were appearance bonds, which mean they have to pay those amounts if they don’t show up for the next hearing.
Keep in mind that they’re both under home confinement anyway.

My mistake. I suppose these were non violent crimes.
They should have frozen all of Manafort’s assets they know about, forced him to pay, then tracked where the money came from.
