The majority of Trump voters really are stupid.

Ha, looks like politicians also adhere to Pogue’s Law. And there really is a subset of Americans that are untouchable by reality.

I’d like to see how the questions were worded. I can see someone saying Trump didn’t order the collusion, etc. Overzealous staff was guilty. There’s also this:

The poll was conducted before the indictments of former campaign officials Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were released, and before the documents showing former campaign aide George Papadopoulos’s guilty plea were unsealed.

Results might be a bit different now. I suspect that 79% figure will begin to erode a bit.

It is remarkable how effective Trump’s ceaseless whining about “fake news” has been.

It’s terrifying, is what it is.

A simple phrase, repeated ad nauseum, and corresponding to some emotional receptivity in listeners, becomes sicklied o’er with the pale cast of truth.

Time enough we got the reptile outta our brains.

The full article has more positive polling results (like support for Impeachment is at an all-time high) but this part is disturbing.

Carter Page admits to meeting with Rosneft. So far the news outlets haven’t picked this up

A redditor:

The Papadopoulos e-mails paint a very complete picture together with the dossier and with the known information:

  • In April, Papadopoulos went to London and discussed the hacked e-mails with the professor, a month before anyone else knew about them
  • He tries to get the campaign to send someone there to deal with Putin. Manafort says that it will have to be someone low-level, not Trump.
  • In July, they send Carter Page to Moscow. He makes a deal with Putin: Putin gets sanctions relief, Trump gets election help and a brokerage fee of the sale of the 19% stake in Rosneft (according to the dossier). Putin says he wants a personal confirmation from Trump that the deal is a go.
  • On July 27, Trump looks into the camera and says, “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find Hillary Clinton’s 30,000 e-mails.” That was the ‘yes.’
  • December: 19.5% of Rosneft vanishes in a sell-off to a group of anonymous shell corporations.

I’d like to see the answers if the question makes it clear that Mike Pence, another Republican, would become President if Trump is impeached. I wonder how many think a Trump impeachment would mean that Hillary Clinton becomes President.

Does this law involve rum, sodomy, or the lash?

Nope! I just have a longstanding theory that there is nothing (mainly I was thinking of games, movies, bands, the like) that is so awful that it isn’t somebody’s absolute favorite thing. Looks like that goes for presidents as well.

If this is true, and provable, it’s damning.

I’ve not seen any corroboration of the Rosneft allegation. Though it’s hard to see what the corroboration would be other than financial records.

The WH Press Corp asked Sanders this afternoon about Clovis. She had no answer, then this drops. Was she just doing her standard deflection lies, or did they know another Trumpist had flipped?

Happy Halloween:

Has Sanders ever uttered a single truth while standing at the podium? I don’t know how anyone can stand to sit there and listen to her bullshit day after day.

This doesn’t sound like he’s a cooperative witness in the same way George P. is. This is the Senate investigation, not Mueller, so a “cooperative witness” probably means someone who will say nice things about Trump and mean things about Hillary Clinton.

I’d be willing to bet that not an honest word has come from that podium since Obama left.

I wonder how much someone like SHS really knows about any collusion or illegal activity. She’s either a complete moron, complicit as hell, or both.

Press laughed at her jokes, not sure if just polite or Stockholm Syndrome.
