McKinnon as sessions is both amazing and terrifying.
Alex Moffat’s Eric Trump is my new favorite thing.

In Russian, “carterpage” means “dangerous idiot”. Maybe Page was just talking himself up to his Russian and Trump campaign buddies, making himself seem far more important than he was. He wanted to “be in the room where it happened”, to be a big player, and so on. Maybe we shouldn’t jump to frightening conclusions when he can give a perfectly reasonable explanation for everything. Or maybe Page is a traitor. Or both?
Reading stories on those Paradise papers is something else. Aside from whatever financial ties trump has with Russia (“unregulated capital” means it’s almost a certainty trump and his companies have deep and financial ties there), the extraordinary efforts the ultra wealthy (who already have more money than they can ever reasonably spend in a lifetime) go through to (legally) avoid paying taxes is just stunning. And yet here we are with the GOP squawking that they need even lower taxes and that in turn will magically raise everyone’s wages. HAHAHAHA.

I agree completely, I read a similar summary on reddit. They fact that the GOP is pushing for tax breaks that would help some of these same people is so ridiculous that it just seems to be some comedy we’re playing a part in, not real life. I mean, the timing of the release of these papers along with the GOP push for tax cuts AND Trump trying to draw a line into anyone looking at his finances … how do stars align like this?

What’s interesting about these proposals is how far gone the (Republican) voting electorate has become. They used to just bury tax cuts to the wealthy in increasing the debt, or combining it with tax cuts to the middle class. If what i read is to be believed (and i say that because i haven’t looked into the details myself) they’re going to actually raise taxes on the middle class (effectively) while cutting taxes on the wealthy/corporations. And they feel they can get away with it.
And they are going to borrow money to do it.
The Carter Page stuff is insanely incriminating. Holy shit. Expect lots of ass-covering and people heading for the hills.

Yep… the GOP base focuses on culture ‘wars,’ leaving the politicians to do whatever they want in the economic sphere (rather, whatever their donors want). As long as they’re all united by shared fears and hatreds, Trumpsters don’t follow the money.
At least, that appears to be their working hypothesis. We’ll find out if they’re right.
Never forget that Trump never released his taxes. Back on Earth Prime there’s no way in hell a President could pass a tax policy without showing the American public how it would affect them personally.

Need to note that it’s parody as there are a few that he tweeted out.

But said irony isn’t that far off of the stupidity of what he actually said. :D
