Secret CIA source claims Russia rigged 2016 election

Why didn’t he just go to Trump for a pardon?

Despite early speculation that Flynn flipped to protect his son from charges, it seems the primary motivation is money. Apparently, he’s pissed at the cost of the legal defense so far and that he’s had to put his house up for sale.

There have been other reports that he was willing to testify that Trump directed him. Time will tell. I imagine part of the reason for ambiguity is they still have the opportunity to catch others in a lie.

That he was so directed to communicate with Russia on existing US/UN sanctions is…not ideal for Donald Trump.

And also worth noting, the campaign collusion road goes through Manafort, DJTjr, and Kushner more than Flynn (though Flynn certainly part based on sourced reportage.)

A plea bargain is an arrangement between a prosecutor and a defendant. The defendant pleads guilty to lesser charge(s), and often the prosecutor will recommend a more lenient sentence. Judges are still ultimately responsible for determining the sentence (subject to the legal limits). But they tend to go along with plea bargains since it saves a lot of time and effort for all parties involved.

That’s not true. Judges can and do reject plea bargains. It’s unusual, but when this happens the prosecutor has to find new charges for the defendant (or drop the charges).

Looks like more people moving on to the ‘collusion is not illegal / colllusion was the only way to stop crooked Hillary’ stage.

Those are some impressive gymnastics going on in her head.

Everyone knows that prosecutors need to weigh very carefully the reaction of the stock market when they decide who they should charge and for what.

I stand partially corrected. That’s only after the charges have been brought though. If the prosecution doesn’t bring any charges, the judge can’t start forcing them to do so.

If the Feds don’t charge Flynn with something, the judge can’t start making up charges against him.

Eli Lake is saying it was Kushner that told Flynn to talk to the Russians:

Hahahahahah

I just can’t believe all this happening over $1 million in legal bills. That’s how much the fate of our country is worth?

This Administration doesn’t exactly put country first, if you’ve noticed.

The quote is a bit more damning too:

UPDATE: Here’s more evidence that the Flynn charge is a prelude to bigger things. Reportedly, Flynn is prepared to testify that candidate Trump “directed him to make contact with the Russians.” JUST IN: @BrianRoss on @ABC News Special Report: Michael Flynn promised “full cooperation to the Mueller team” and is prepared to testify that as a candidate, Donald Trump “directed him to make contact with the Russians.” http://abcn.ws/2AhU3Iq https://twitter.com/ThisWeekABC/status/936628598819004417/video/1

If so, that’s a gut punch.
