I don’t know if Trump conspired with the Russians, but I see no solid evidence that he did, even after a year and a half of investigation. That suggests to me there isn’t any. You’ve offered none.

1)Because this was actually the Russian government, that would in fact be a legal violation of campaign finance law.
2) But we can ignore that, because again, that isn’t what Trump would be impeached for.

Yes, those things would be additional crimes.

Again, if trump is impeached, it will likely be for one of the following:

  1. obstruction of Justice
  2. financial crimes related to his business

To be clear, his conflicts of interests at this point are on an entirely unprecedented scale, and I believe that he absolutely should be impeached for violating the emoluments clause…
But I don’t believe he will be.
