Secret CIA source claims Russia rigged 2016 election

Fortunately the Butina thing dovetails with the main Trump-Russia thing:

So only one topic needed!

Some light background reading on who Alexander Torshin is:

People still read NPR? Is Twitter down this morning or something?

  1. Yes, they have some excellent writers and researchers, especially valuable for an article like the one posted.

  2. No.

I mean NPR is about the best out there for substantive journalism. Their audio is their crown jewel, for sure, but their written work is quite good too.

Sure, sure. But Twitter has all the same writers, condensing their thoughts to 280 very carefully chosen characters. The future is now.

Twitter is shit, and actual in depth reporting canā€™t be condensed to 280 characters.

Excuse me, but the President of the United States of America uses the platform to broadcast official White House communicae. How dare you. Just who do you think you are, trying to dismiss the Twitter platform as anything less than a really big deal?

future

Itā€™s National Public Radio, not National Public Writinā€™! Theyā€™re not fooling anyone.

NPR U Serious?!

Iā€™m not saying itā€™s not a big deal.

Iā€™m saying itā€™s shit.

Both items can be, and are, true. Twitter destroys nuance and depth, can be plumbed for out of context quotes, and encourages some of the worst behaviors by these paradigms. It also actively enabled and embraced some really terrible groups, and doesnā€™t tend to give a flying fig about hate groups and harassment.

That our bird brained POTUS leaves his bird droppings on it to encourage and enable his supporters and forment the further polarization and coursening of our politics, such as his admonishments likely contributing to the bombs sent to journalists, does not mean the platform is good. Important and critical to understanding modern politics? Yes. Good for people and our country? No.

Kerzain was being sacastic

I think the NRA has more to worry about short-term than Trump in this Butina plea deal. They are dirty as hell and already on financially shaky grounds.

Yeah, that is my biggest hope coming from the Butina stuff - nail the NRA and everyone that has a hand in their money. Probably too much to wish for.

This is 756 characters, so Iā€™m not reading it.

Here you go:

Hahaha

Youā€™re a monster

TL;DR

Twitter sucks.
Twitter sucks.
Twitter sucks.
Twitter sucks.
Trump sucks.
Twitter sucks.
