I’m tired but I just wanted to say that it’ll be neat to have actual cabinet members in a few weeks instead of acting ones.

I think it might be the difference between losing and keeping the House and Senate.

Jesus, if yesterday doesn’t convince Democrats to fucking vote every major election, we are screwed.

It’s worth noting that a lot of the people who voted for the two D senatorial candidates were Republicans who weren’t happy about Trump’s ongoing coup attempts.

Evidence: Remember that there were THREE positions on the ballot, the two senator slots and the commissioner. The GOP candidate for commissioner won… by a recount-proof margin.

This indicates to me that there were tens of thousands of GOP voters who would normally have just voted the party line and instead consciously voted for two Democratic candidates for senator while pulling the lever for a Republican named “Bubba” for commissioner.

Abrams for DNC chair? DNC Czar?

I don’t really know enough about what the party chair does but she needs to be in a position where she can direct resources and organize GOTV efforts most effectively. If the DNC chair is that then that is where she needs to be.

Yeah. Whichever car is most appropriate, someone get this lady some keys.

Agree. I think it might be the case that she won’t be as effective in areas where she doesn’t have longstanding contacts and relationships and a keen understanding of the landscape, but it’s certainly worth a try. She’s first-class.

President.

I like this.

Dave, if you want Stacy Abram to be president you’d better strap in!

That would require a much better country than we are or, seemingly, ever going to be.

Honestly, if you are running for anything in Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama or Arkansas and your name is “Bubba” you’re pretty much guaranteed to win.

We said (or thought) the same thing about Obama and then Harris. This country is capable of great things from time to time.

Only after we fail completely.

We’d have to fail harder than Trump for her to get elected. Which means there wouldn’t be elections anymore anyway.

Maybe we’ll get there some day, but I doubt it and one loss before then probably means we’re done.

Oh you!

Also, you can sell a lot of shrimp.

We can, after all, be relied upon to do the right thing after all other options have been exhausted.

I really didn’t expect her to concede. Pleasant surprise.
