“It is not funny.”
I snorted with mild amusement.
Telling other people what is and isn’t funny rarely works.
Funny? The eyes, yes. The name alteration, no. They should have stopped with the eyes.
I think Congressperson Fartenberrys reaction tells you everything you need to know about why the name was spot on.
I should add that this whole thing was big local news when it went down here in Nebraska. The response was far far out of proportion to the offense. Police were called in because Fartenberry reported vandalism. A team of investigators used fingerprinting on the googley eyes to track down the dastardly culprit. Charges were brought, a trial was scheduled, and just as “justice” was about to served . . . Fartenberry didn’t show for the trial so the judge had to dismiss the case.

Calling that goofiness “political violence” is such horseshit.
We’ve had people beaten and killed in the name of politics. Virulent racist shit.
Googlie eyes and a fart joke are not “political violence” by any metric.
Did you miss “odor” down in the right corner? It is an image that may reward repeated viewings.
Wrong.
Farts = localized smell around the offender
All politics are local.
Farts = silent but deadly
Silence is violence.
Therefore, the sign vandalism is political violence.
Thank you for putting that into layman’s turds, I mean terms.
Is that supposed to be Ripley? Cause I’m thinking Weaver might be on the other side of this debate.
I think she’s ok with the quarantine?
F’rinstance:
Haha, that’s good. Thanks for finding that.
The audio of it is hilarious
