That is a big deal in the community. The bottom line is that they, indeed, did use only white people in their data. Is that the right term?
Is there a term for using only white people, whether faces or social economic data, in generating algorithms? Could we say they coded in Pearl?
I wouldn’t have noticed, except they tried to use the faulty algorithm on photos of Obama and Mohammed Ali.
I think Kinect had a similar issue early on?
I remember when I was a kid, trying to find a clean spot to dry my hands, most times I ended up using my shirt or pants as a towel.
