I only vaguely remember the tale from a book of Knights I had when I was a kid, but the tone and look of this movie makes me feel about the same age as when I read it.

If the whole thing is like that trailer – namely, no voices, just the Wagner score – it’d be unbelievably fantastic.
That could be amazingly awesome, though we’ll have to see how well it holds up over feature length.
Apparently, this ‘trailer’ is more of a proof-of-concept, a teaser created by a French animation studio to show what the graphic novel by Alex Alice could look like if made into a movie, according to an acquaintance who works in the animation business.
Yeah, I was bitterly disappointed to hear that too.
