Sounds great but won’t the huge heatsink collide with other components placed on the motherboard between the AGP slot and the CPU/memory?
no christoph, real men have onboard sound and network, and no other add-in cards :P
Yeah, but I was wondering about the other side of the card where the heatsink blocks the space between the slots and the CPU… isn’t that where your onboard sound and network chips might sit, with some big fat capacitators that collide with the heatsink? That outer side is the “down” side of a card, and a mobo maker might rely on the assumption that this side is always empty.

I’m sure there are motherboards/cases where this might be a problem, but in general I think it’s safe to say it fits. There have been other silent video cards out there using similar cooling solutions, this is just the first 9700 Pro I know of.
