I snagged this deal. It’ll come to about $95 CDN with shipping/duties/exchange when all is said and done, but it’s worth it. I have been waiting for a sub-$100 price on this box set since it first came out.

That’s a filthy lie; SFU is not even in the same league as The Wire. I really enjoyed the first two seasons, but the show really went to hell after that. Awesome last episode, though.

Still, for $60 it’s worth picking up.

Thanks for the heads-up! Great bargain at that price. Now it’s time to go through the series once more with my fiance.

Quite right. The one really interesting character development device (the internal dialogue the morticians would have with each episode’s deceased playing stand-in for their own insecurities) seemed like it went by the wayside to make room for bog-standard, crappy, angst-ridden thritysomething soap opera trappings after the first couple seasons. Still, the strength of the cast and the excellent final couple episodes make it worth suffering those shitty middle seasons if you ask me.

Neat packaging on the box set, though. I just wonder why people still buy those in the era of Netflix and direct-to-internet-appliance streams.
