I have to say my first impressions are not quite too high. I’m using the mouse + kb and find the interface very clunky. Too many clicks to accomplish simple things. The movement seems imprecise to me and hard to position guys right where you want them. I was playing it while waiting so for the official race timer to count down in Trackmania 2, so maybe it’s because I wasn’t giving it my full attention. I’m going to try again a bit later.
I did use a gamepad, haven’t tried mouse + kb. Gamepad works very well for it.
Well, I’m getting used to the interface. Still a little cumbersome but not too bad once you get used to it.
Anyone know what the experience points and emblems are used for?
The leaderboards for time is a little silly and are at odds with trying to earn XP and emblems. I’ve just been taking out the general as fast as I can, but it is probably going to come back to haunt me if I need these XP later in the campaign.
No clue. XP and emblems seem to have no effect on the single player campaign. Dunno about multiplayer.
