Post your load order as well. We might be able to spot something from it.
I deactivated SkyUI 3.0, and then activated 3.1.

As a test, try deactivating Reproccer.esp and see if it loads up.
I have no clue why, but it loaded up (This is with me reverting to SKSE 1.6.5 and SkyUI 3.0). Oddly I rebuilt reproccer and it now loads with that enabled as well…Why would reproccer.esp have been causing an issue?
when you learn this you will have achieved enlightenment

Figured that was the problem.
When you build Reproccer.esp it pulls data from other mods and these mods are then assigned as “masters” of Reproccer.esp. If any of those are then removed or their names changed you will get the crash you experienced.
For safety, just go ahead and rebuild Reproccer.esp (or any other mods that use the same tool, like ASIS or Automatic Varients) every time you make a change to your mod list. It only takes a couple seconds and will keep this from happening again.
Thanks a bunch Godhugh, was really frustrated…now I need to try putting SkyUI 3.1 and SKSE 1.6.6 back in and rebuild reproccer.esp to make sure all is good.
Yeah, experiment with disabling the esps. Shouldn’t take you too long to narrow it down. Disable 5-10 at a time until the game loads, slowly turn them back on, etc.
I updated to the new version and didn’t have any new problems. I have a bizarre issue where I crash every time in one spot after the first dungeon. My kingdom for a crash log. I’ll have to take out mods one by one until I figure out what it is. I’m thinking it’s gfx related so I guess I’ll pull all that first and see what happens.
I had the weirdest thing happen yesterday, which I’m not sure is mod-related or not (if it is, I’m guessing it’s the UFO follower mod). Basically I was hanging out in Breezehome with two followers, Lydia and Vixen (from the Temptress mod), and after having them relax a while (curiously, only Lydia will actually sleep when told to relax, the other one won’t). I told them both to follow me again: dialogue “You know…: Time to go”
Well for some reason Lydia was slow to respond. I had to do the dialogue a number of times before she actually started following. And when she did, she walked as though she was drunk, totally stumbling around. I posted a couple of screenshots under my steam ID (papagenox). Has anyone else seen this?
She finally got over being drunk, but I don’t know if it’s because in-game time passed or if it’s due to some more dialogue I had with her.

Hmm, so I’m using Ultimate Follower Overhaul and it’s supposed to fix the “Lydia walks like a man” issue, but it doesn’t. I’ve heard it has issues with the latest versions of SkyUI, though.
Is anyone else using UFO and SkyUI concurrently that could comment?
Well my guess was wrong. It was the scenic carriages mod. Not sure if it’s a load order thing, but I just yanked it instead of trying to figure it out. Would crash in the same exact spot in the woods every time. I quick saved right before the spot and messed with the mods until I figured it out. Wacky…

If I’m three-four hours into the game (enough time that I really don’t want to restart), do I have to restart the entire game from the beginning if I install the unofficial patch?
It’s looking very tempting to me, because it falls into the line of a mod that fixes broken shit (as opposed to adding more things on, changing lighting, etc.). But I don’t know if I want to do it if I have to restart the game.

You don’t have to restart. It works perfectly with an existing save.

Do you have Hearthfire? I know SC has a lot of problems with that DLC.
I do and I remember reading on their page that it wouldn’t work with it. Silly me. I can do without it, it’s cool and all, but it’s not something I have to have.
Using UFO + UFO DLC Expansions + SkyUI with zero problems so far. This is starting from a new game.
Thanks for the reply–so how does Lydia walk in your game–does she stride around with her arms out, or have you noticed?
Maybe Lydia is set in stone, animation-wise (perhaps she’s categorized as soldier/guard vs. adult female), or maybe the fact that I installed the UFO mod and the Hearthfire add-on for it when I was already Level 15 (and thus already had Lydia in tow) made that aspect of the mod not work somehow. My own (female) character does walk more demurely.
And of course, there could be another mod conflicting, although I only have 6 to 8 of them going.
AFAIK Lydia has male animations set for her, I guess because she’s your housecarl, a rough and tough soldier. I think I’ve seen a mod on Nexus that changes her animation to female. Also, some of the “sexy walk/idle” animation replacers can change Lydia too.
Ugh, well, according to the thread below I just have to live with it until such time as I start a new game. Somehow if you’ve already met an NPC, he or she is stored in your savegame and NOTHING you do can change certain characteristics like gender stance/animations. Pretty ridiculous.
