THANK YOU! I was wondering why I was missing 5 points of Stamina and having everyone tell me I don’t look so good. Damn you and your experiments Brelyna!

Whenever someone tells you that you don’t look good, or after a fight with vampires, check on your status.
That, and go to temples/shrines regularly.

Also remember that sure poison and cure disease potions are two different things. ;)
Time to head to a temple or a shrine I s’pose! Oh, I also put in maybe 11-12 hours this weekend alone. So, so good. I did a bit of the main quest as well as some quest where I got a neat looking sword (Dawnsomething) and went through six levels (13-19). Wheeee!

Dawnbreaker…keep that sucker. I am 170 hours in and I am still using that. Although I have “smithed” it up twice.
I need to get better at smithing. I suppose I should pick some smithing-related perks when I level up, hmm?
I’ve thought that myself for the last 30 levels or so. But there’s always something else I’m waiting for, so Smithing gets pushed back “for next time”, every single time. I never actually put a point in it yet, and I’m level 35 now.

Smithing perks are not really worth it until you hit 60 I think when you can improve enchanted items. Although before that you can improve plate steel armor.
I assume you mean smithing skill level 60 and not character level 60. What’s the best way to grind up to that level? Make a million iron daggers? :-)
Yeah, that one, I am reaaaaaaally digging it. How do you smith it up though?
You’d have to get the skill tree perk that allows for enchanted weapon smithing/improvement.
Oohhh, okay, likely not there yet. :)
So does the quest with the master y’all were talking about involve a…dog?
Here’s a question–I thought that one of the unofficial patches (or perhaps one of the official ones) fixed the silliness of your character (while smithing) grabbing the hunk of metal from the red hot end of it, but I was dismayed to see that still happening in my game. I’ve got the unofficial patches loading right after all the .esm files but before the .esp files. Anyone else still seeing this?
What I do to level up Smithing is when I go on long adevtures, I pick up a few light weapons from enemies that I have no real use for, like daggers. And then when I run into a workbench, I upgrade the daggers and then throw them away. It gives me the chance to practice my craft and not have to worry about grinding or going out of my way to spend time on the activity. Using this method I’ve currently got Smithing up to 54 I believe. But I still don’t have any perks in it so I can’t improve enchanted weapons or even my ebony bow past Superior.
That’s not a bad idea, Rock8man. I’ll have to try it.
That IS a great idea, Rock, I’ll give that a shot so I can eventually smith Dawnbreaker. :) Thanks!

I have read in this thread I think people say to make daggers for hours. But the best way is to make jewelry. Silver and gold dude. Make rings and necklaces and then sell them for a nice profit. Also, if you stumble across the spell “Transmute”, learn to use it. It is the only spell my warrior uses.
I always carry a pickaxe, at least until I need the space then I dump it.
There is a smith in one of the towns who you can be trained by as well.
