I was about to say Peter Sellers as Merkin Muffley, but that character is so much more qualified than Trump it’s not even a good joke.
The Surgeon General was just dismissed, and replaced with a nurse. Sigh.

Well, a nurse, but also an admiral, a medical researcher, and a PhD holder. She may still be overqualified for this administration.
The United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps confuses me. It’s military, but it’s not?

Yeah she seems to have some pretty hefty qualifications in here.
She currently serves as the Chair of the Federal Public Health Nurse Leadership Council, and the Federal Nursing Service Council.
If I recall correctly, Murthy was a big believer that guns are a national health concern, which would have put him directly in Trump’s crosshairs. So to speak.
Waiting months to replace the surgeon general with their 2ic smacks of “look at all the things we are doing”
Well, that’s just the general run of the mill incompetence that this administration has taken to new heights.
Of the 554 positions requiring confirmation, as of Saturday, 473 have no nominee, 35 have been announced but not formally nominated, 24 have been nominated, and just 22 have been confirmed thus far, according to a database put together by the Washington Post and the nonpartisan Partnership for Public Service.
Replacing a doctor, with what appears to be a super smart nurse, is down around 2000 in my list of stupid shit Trump has done.
My understanding is that Trent-Adams is an interim replacement. No gurantee, at all, that she is his permanent appointment for Surgeon General. Still time to screw this appointment up, too.
What you quoted there makes it perfectly obvious that Trump didn’t really want to win the presidency. He did the whole thing to spite Obama and the Democrats and to fluff his brand.
Oh, I know, it just struck me as some sort of desperate, “100 days and we’ve accomplished virtually nothing. We need more things to pat ourselves on the back for. Hey, I know, lets sack that guy and promote his deputy! Excellent work, now I can make my tee time.”
That guy would legalize marijuana worldwide, I think he already has.
I don’t care if the dude just has a GED, you don’t argue with a head of hair like that.
Yup, the dog chasing after the car and catching it, has always been the best Trump analogy. “the car is bigger than me, and I can’t eat it, now what the hell do I do? Oh maybe I’ll try screwing it, oh that exhaust pipe hurts when I stick my dick in it”

I had a friend in the NOAA corps. Gate Guards had to salute him as he was considered an O-3.

The audience interrupted Trump with hissing and boos during a discussion on paid leave when she began describing her father as an advocate for women.
“That is something I’m very proud of my father’s advocacy, long before he came into the presidency, he championed this in the primaries. He’s been a tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive,” Trump said before the crowd began reacting negatively.
Meckel asked Trump to respond to those who question if the President is an “empowerer of women” given his past controversial statements,
“I’ve certainly heard the criticism from the media and that’s been perpetuated, but I know from personal experience, and I think the thousands of women who have worked with and for my father for decades when he was in the private sector are a testament to his belief and solid conviction in the potential of women and their ability to do the job as well as any man,” she said.
“So I think in my personal experience – and you were asking me about my role as daughter – and as adviser, as a daughter, I can speak on a very personal level knowing that he encouraged me and enabled me to thrive,” Trump added.[/quote]
“I don’t really know about anyone else’s experience, but my daddy’s always been good to me.”
… ability to pay enough that people will put up with whatever. Just the simple fact that he’s employed thousands of women doesn’t mean much.
Seriously, if someone gave me a million dollars a year to shovel crap 40 hours a week, I’d do it in a heartbeat even if I didn’t get paternity leave. There’s some unknown inflection point that I’d say no, but enough money will overcome a lot for most people.

Everyone who works with trump is forced to sign NDA’s with massive penalties if broken, so no, they are not in fact a testament to anything.
