And if only he could have seen the good things Mike Judge would bring unto the world…

More Clovis content…

I don’t even know where you find these people. I didn’t know many of these guys even existed until now.

Douchebags are all around us. For better or worse, some spew their insane shit more vocally than others.

I mean i could literally just pick Alan Alda and Neil de Grasse Tyson because they were the last two people i saw on NOVA, or that guy from Texas Country Reporter (Bob Phillips) and be 1000% wiser in my choices than these twirps. I could probably draft some random over-40 year old and make a better choice.

Sure, but then you wouldn’t fulfill the idiot’s dream of watching the government burn to the ground.

I think this all started when GWB picked Bolton to be our UN Ambassador, and it’s just picked up steam in certain circles since.

Here’s how it went:
Trump was running for president. He was a joke, and pretty stupid, and his platform was based on stuff which was too overtly terrible for the GOP to back.

So, as a result, he packed his campaign full of guys who were unethical to the extent that they would work for him, despite all that stuff. Basically, scumbags who were too shitty to fit in with the normal GOP establishment. He wasn’t even able to scrape the bottom of the barrel… no one in the barrel wanted to work for him… but it turns out, if you lift up the barrel, there are some hideous creatures living in the muck beneath.

And there is where you find people like Clovis, or Lewindowski, or the other absolute horrors who filled Trump’s team.

And now they all work for his administration.

Um.

Reports suggest US diplomats could have suffered hearing loss related to the use of covert sonic devices.

Cuba’s foreign ministry said it was investigating the allegations.

It called the expulsion of its staff unjustified but said it was willing to co-operate with Washington to clarify what had happened.
[…]
The Associated Press reports the diplomats’ hearing loss could have been linked to sonic devices which emit inaudible sound waves that can cause deafness.

US officials, speaking to the agency anonymously, said investigations had determined devices had been deployed either inside or outside diplomats’ homes.

Investigators are also considering the possibility that a third country, such as Russia, was behind the incidents, officials familiar with the inquiry told AP.

About five diplomats, including some spouses, had been affected, but no children were involved, US officials said.

Ms Nauert said staff began complaining of the strange symptoms late last year.

While they were not life-threatening, she revealed that a number of people had been brought home to the US as a result.

Ms Nauert said the government was taking it “very seriously, and there is an investigation currently under way”.

The U.S. government expelled two Cuban diplomats in May, after Americans working at the U.S. Embassy in Havana suffered unexplained physical ailments, the State Department said Thursday.

A small number of Americans began reporting symptoms at the end of 2016, and a few either were removed for medical treatment in the United States or asked to leave, State Department officials said Thursday.

Spokeswoman Heather Nauert linked “incidents which have caused a variety of physical symptoms” to the decision to expel two Cubans, but she did not directly blame the Cuban government for harming the Americans.

“We don’t have any definitive answers about the source or the cause,” of symptoms she characterized as not life-threatening.

The FBI is conducting an investigation of the illnesses or symptoms reported by the State Department employees over several months. Further U.S. action could follow if that investigation points to Cuban government targeting of U.S. employees, officials said.

That’s interesting. My hearing range goes much higher than most people. For instance, when I was at Case Western, there were motion detectors in the Allen Library. These were supposed to be turned off during the day, but were frequently left on, because they didn’t bother anyone. Except me. To me, they were blisteringly loud, to the point that I would become dizzy/nauseous within moments of entering the building. Since I frequently had to go there, I carried foam earplugs in my backpack at all times.

It never occurred to me that those things might be damaging people’s hearing, since they couldn’t hear it in the first place, but I can’t help but wonder if what’s happening here might be something similar and not at all insidious.

That memo from Mattis is so strange. It reminds me a lot of Comey’s resignation letter. Especially the “citizens who have never met us trust us to do the right thing, never abusing our position nor looking the other way when we see something wrong.”

Can the entire nation make a pact not to make fun of Trump for golfing? Trump spending his time golfing rather instead of doing foreign policy could very well save the world. I’m sort of serious. I don’t up vote stories like that any more no matter how much the hypocrisy drives me nuts.

When an image of the Statue of Liberty is a sign to you that the “Opposition Media” is “attacking us” then you’re probably a snowflake, you triggered motherfucker.

Hey, I’m all for the Right ceding the Statue of Liberty to the Left. At least they’re being honest, in that regard!

I was curious, so I checked out 'John Carney’s (I have never heard of him up to now) twitter feed. He’s a grade A dumbfuck.

What does “triggered” refer to? I’m not up on the lingo.

I’m pretty sure he’s pissed it’s Lawrence, not the statue.

No, it’s the statue.

Yeah, it’s kinda cool they’re ceding one of the iconic symbols of patriotism to the left.

Here’s hoping American flags start pissing off the Trumpistas.

Well they’ve already ceded The Declaration of Independence.
