Supporting a caste system where rich people are deemed “genetically superior” to poors.

My girlfriend’s cousin recently worked with Linton on something and just over the weekend he was telling us how nuts she is, and now here she is making headlines.

Washington (CNN) - The White House has prepared the paperwork for President Trump to pardon former sheriff Joe Arpaio when he makes the final decision to do so, CNN has learned.

An administration official said the White House has also prepared talking points to send to surrogates after he is pardoned.

One of the talking points is that Arpaio served his country for 50 years in the military, the Drug Enforcement Administration and as Arizona’s Maricopa County sheriff, and that it is not appropriate to send him to prison for “enforcing the law” and “working to keep people safe.”

Arpaio, an early Trump supporter, was found guilty last month of criminal contempt for disregarding a court order in a racial profiling case. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 5.

WaPo’s Greg Sargent compares Trump to Lenny Bruce. Gotta say, I didn’t see that one coming.

I honestly hope he pardons Arpaio. Trump isn’t going to win any friends on that one – anyone dumb enough to support Arpaio is already dumb enough to support Trump – but he is going to give the world just one more reminder that he’s in bed with racists, xenophobes, and penny-ante fascists.

Besides, a contempt of court charge? Pfft.

I saw this tweet yesterday on Rick Wilson’s feed.

Civil claims from whom though? How would an individual prove in court he or she was targeted by Apraio by their ethnicity?

Civil claims have a much lower threshold of “proof”, so basically it goes like this:

  1. Plaintiff says that they were detained simply because of their skin color on X date for Y time.
  2. Arpaio says that’s not so.
  3. Plaintiff holds up the pardon/“admission of guilt” which says that he admits having done so in the past.
  4. Jury gets to decide if the plaintiff’s case was one of those times.

The university made the announcement on Twitter account and website, saying the Waltham, Massachusetts, campus will be closed for the day to all faculty and nonessential personnel. Brandeis posted an update in the afternoon, saying students on campus were safe and a secured location.

It said campus buildings were being checked to assure that all community members have left. Brandeis promised to continue to post updates online regarding the campus’ status.

“In light of emailed threats received this morning and with an abundance of caution, we have determined to close the Brandeis campus to all faculty and non-essential personnel until public safety personnel can assure our community that there is no longer a threat,” Brandeis University said on its website.

“In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.”

(CNN) - President Donald Trump on Friday directed the military not to move forward with an Obama-era plan that would have allowed transgender individuals to be recruited into the armed forces, following through on his intentions announced a month earlier to ban transgender people from serving.

The presidential memorandum also bans the Department of Defense from using its resources to provide medical treatment regimens for transgender individuals currently serving in the military.

Trump also directed the departments of Defense and Homeland Security “to determine how to address transgender individuals currently serving based on military effectiveness and lethality, unitary cohesion, budgetary constraints, applicable law, and all factors that may be relevant,” the White House official said.

The White House official who briefed reporters on the memo on Friday evening declined to say whether transgender troops would be allowed to remain in the military under those policy guidelines.

Interesting timing:

What about Galveston?

Galveston 1900 was a massive loss of life, but Houston today is the 4th largest city/metropolitan region in the nation, and it’s now currently underwater. 25% of Texas’ population is the Houston area. The damages will be in the billions, or most likely tens of billions.

And I bet that the state has no extra money to deal with it because IIRC Texas has no income tax, let alone a progressive one.
I hope Ted Cruz and other federal deficit elimination fetishists make an exception this time at least.

Such bad hombres.

First thing they will do is ask the Federal Government to pay for it all, because they are hypocrites. If that falls short, expect a regressive tax and expect the rebuild to go to the wealthier areas first at the expense of the poor and lower middle class.

Name me any state (or even a combination thereof) that would have the “extra” money to deal with this.

Liberal cuck states would
