But they’ll feel really sorry about it, afterwards.
Could be the Mercers looking to start backing a different horse in the upcoming GOP Civil War. Maybe they want off the Trump Train? Federal Investigators tend to have a chilling effect on super wealthy people…

Same train, different conductor. He’s the one funding all the white supremacy stuff, so he’s going to stick with people like Bannon and his ilk.
That was my thought earlier as well. Of course, Wilson is both funnier and better informed than I.
Bannon’s war on the GOP?
It excludes Ted Cruz.
So the Justice Department lost their appeal last month, and that young immigrant proceeded to have her abortion. Now Sessions is asking the Supreme Court to “punish” the attorneys who represented her.
Because Doe obtained her abortion, Friday’s appeal might seem pointless, presenting no live controversy for the justices to adjudicate. But the DOJ has three goals here. First, it wants the Supreme Court to punish the D.C. Circuit for issuing a decision that it believes to be egregiously wrong by wiping the entire ruling off the books. Second, the DOJ wants to eradicate a decision that sets a legal precedent it despises. Doe’s lawsuit was initially brought as part of a class action, and the ACLU will continue to litigate its broader claim against the Trump administration’s absolute bar on abortion access for undocumented minors. As long as the D.C. Circuit’s decision remains on the books, those lawsuits are almost guaranteed to succeed. The Justice Department wants it gone so that it can litigate this issue anew.
Man, Trump really scrapes the bottom of the barrel when he makes appointments. Sessions is horrible.

Labor force shortages are tied to population declines. Labor force shortages are a limiting factor in economic growth. And limited economic growth poses a problem when government tries to pay for public services and infrastructure. In spite of this Mr. Speaker, ironically, the democrats continue their effort to support the abortion industry
I wonder if there is any other way to increase the labor force. It would be great if we could find adult volunteers who are not in the American labor force but are willing to join it immediately. As a bonus, we wouldn’t have to wait a decade or two for the fetus to become a worker. Ironically, maybe Democrats have some ideas where you could find these volunteers!
It’ll never work. They’re all down in Trump’s new coal mines.
We cannot allow a mineshaft gap. And besides, there would be much time in there, and little to do…
The New Yorker website apparently now feels it’s necessary to explicitly tag the Borowitz Report as ‘satire.’
Probably a wise move…

If only they’d tag it “Sub-Onion-Quality Satire”.
True. I love the New Yorker, but they really can’t do humor. Except Roz Chast. She rocks.

Have to concur. Borowitz may have his heart in the right place, but he’s profoundly unfunny.

He gets a hit once in a while. Then again he’s probably just one dude vs a team of people.
