This asshole is an attorney with his own practice and already thousands of people have 1-starred his business for his being an asshole. Go ahead and be an openly racist schmuck, but maybe, just maybe, there might be some repercussions. Now you get to own it, idiot.
People have begun playing with the listings themselves. On Google, if you search Schlossberg’s name on mobile, you’ll see that some have begun listing his firm under the “Mexican Restaurant” category. It seems people want to review his business as such, after he was angered by hearing two restaurant employees speak Spanish (the horror!). Ironically, Schlossberg’s business could actually take Mexican food orders, given that his firm’s website offers to schedule consultations en Español.
The online vigilantes didn’t just change his business’s category. They also swapped the image, changing it from a dapper photo of Schlossberg to a dog being hit in the face by a frisbee.
Didn’t this guy’s meltdown happen in NYC? What kind of idiot lives in one of the world’s most cosmopolitan cities and freaks out about hearing people speak a foreign language?
The lawyer says on his website that he is “fluent in Spanish.” He knows the language. Bizarre.

As an aside, it’s nice to see things like this:

That’s like a textbook example of how to combat misinformation in reporting.
That anyone in any major city could freak out because someone is talking Spanish around them is so weird. He would freak out in the government office I work in where hearing Spanish being spoken amongst employees is very common.
This is funny:
94% of Puerto Ricans speak Spanish. Puerto Ricans are American citizens. and Puerto Rico is American territory. And a ton of Puerto Ricans live in NYC and have been living there forever.
How this guy is freaking out about someone speaking Spanish in NYC is beyond stupid.

The most depressing thing about this era is how acting like an intemperate, bigoted asshole has been mainstreamed as as a viable political/career strategy.
It’s like Blankenship. He didn’t win, but that he even thought “go more racist” was a promising way to overcome his criminal record says something about our historical moment.
I honestly wonder if he’s just constantly trying to set up assaults and then try to sue people for damages.
I think we are looking at the next Attorney General, or at least WH Communications Director.
