That’s not true before Trump hijacked the country he hijacked the Republican party. Now it is true that there are plenty of Republican who don’t believe or have forgotten about Reagan. But I still think that most Republican identify way more with Reagan than Trump.

Personal and political courage is rare. So it is going to start with the John McCain’s of the world within the Republican party. But I think we’ll soon see more or more Republican stand up to Trump, at some point, it will safer politically to oppose him than support him.

It just occurred to me that Trump already has his own private militia… DeVos’ brother’s company, formerly Blackwater. Not sure what they’re called now. Why else would he be interested in putting her in his cabinet?

Jesus Christ. Holocaust denier rhetoric from the WH.

Well, at least we know why now.

But you know, this is just like the election. They have news media spending time talking about garbage like this and incessantly repeating things like “illegal votes” again and again. This administration is playing by a different set of rules…no, an entirely different game really. And they win whether the media talks about the issues or not. Ugh.

These guys are out there lapping it up. I feel stupider just for reading the interview. Especially the part about Muslim women leaving their towels at home.

This man should run for president.

Personally, I find him a bit annoying, but he’s about 6.2 million times smarter and saner than the current occupant, so sure.

He has an ego that bugs me, but Trump has an ego that scares me. So I guess I’d be okay with a Tyson presidency, though I fear for the continued full statehood status of smaller states like Rhode Island and Delaware.

What do you mean? There have always only been 48 states!

I’m really trying not to be a conspiracy theorist, but while Trump may be a total idiot (and imo pawn) Bannon, Guilliani, and the other people he has instilled in power are not. Trying to look several steps ahead the only conclusion I can think of is not only testing the waters with what they can get away with, but also provoking chaos and hate both internally and externally.

The left is busy getting angry at what’s going on. The moderate right is busy trying to reconcile that deep down they have some legitimate agreements (and some might have good points) with the high level goals but may not agree with the implementation yet are put on the massive defensive because of all the yelling going on forcing them to yell back. Meanwhile only a select few are right now have the energy to focus on what the next thing will be.

Whether the outcome of that becomes some sort of internal uprising within the country or an attack originating from outside the country it becomes a springboard for a bigger consolidation of power.

This is pretty much the rise of dictatorship 101 from history and it’s fucking scary.

It’s also why it makes me extremely nervous to see people saying things like “nazis deserve to be punched”. While at some level it’s probably true, the fact of the matter is it’s playing right into their hands. I honestly think we are past the tipping point and I’m not very optimistic there’s a way back to the top of the cliff.

I also really worry that this was all a calculated effort to identify who will oppose their insanity going forward within the Republican party itself. So far it’s looking like not many, and now those folks can be targeted for discrediting or rejection when primaries or elections come around. Poor John McCain.

McCain was just reelected this year. Graham (another Trump twitter target) was elected just 2 years ago. They are long away from Primary challenges…

There’s other ways to drown a rat.

Turning Mitch McConnell into a minority leader in the Senate probably wouldn’t be the brightest idea. Going after McCain would flip Graham, and probably Collins. You don’t fuck with your own parties Senators when its this closely split. That’s how you end up with all your nominees declined, and public Senate hearings probing into things you’d rather be buried.

I’m not sure Trump views the Senate as any more deserving of respect or necessary than Palpatine did.

At the end of the day, all this shit is flowing down from him and his clutch of crony capitalists and Dominionist apocalunatics. For now, the support of the Republican majority in Congress has been a nice bonus for the crazies in the WH, but I really don’t know if they’d be worried over something as “complicated” and “wonky” as counting to 50 when they think they can just Executive Action their way to the Fourth Reich.

Texas still has duel laws on the books. I wonder about the legality of challenging Bannon to a duel.

omg that’s fantastic.

The media needs to really drive home the idea that Bannon is controlling Trump. It will infuriate Trump, and drive his supporters crazy too. Get Trump riled up enough and he’s likely to cut Bannon out of the Oval Office entirely in an attempt to prove he doesn’t need him. At that point, it’s game over.
