You see the difference though don’t you? Anyone else can maybe steal my identity, cause me some time fixing it, or serve me ads with this data.
The government can put me in jail.
It’s a big difference.

Forget stealing photos, identities and trying to track me with every electronic device I have, including my car… can someone just tell me to automatically tell every website and every application I don’t need a notification from them?

You are being put in jail for breaking laws though.
If someone else has evidence that you have been the law, then they can just provide that to the government… And you will still go to jail.
Yes, but that’s nothing compared to NSA’s programs, and an autocracy can always find an excuse.
On the other hand, private companies can already sway elections and models aren’t that sophisticated yet; once shadow brokers have enough detailed profiles of enough people, selling health information to employers or whatever to blackmailers will become commonplace.

I am shocked that you seem OK with the government collecting all this data with no warrant. There’s a huge difference between what private companies can do and what the government can do.
You’re basically saying: “you have nothing to fear if you haven’t broken any laws,” which is 100% bullshit and you know it.
Let me remind you: don’t ever talk to the police voluntarily without a lawyer. And the same reasoning stands for letting the US government collect tons of data about me without reasonable cause.

They are collecting it from the public space. This is public information.
If you don’t want the government to know this stuff… Then don’t release it to the entire world.
Damn straight.
But if you just publish a confession on the internet, they don’t need to talk to you.
You absolutely have a right to privacy… But you have a responsibility to protect it yourself. If you give up that right, then just like giving up the right to remain silent, anything you say can be held against you.

Yes. The government has more leeway.
If the government sent surveillance teams to follow everyone everywhere, they would also be collecting data from the public space, and it might even be legal for them to do it; but no one in their right mind would say that government wasn’t abusing power by putting surveillance teams on every single citizen.

Also, I suspect a mom who lost her human kid that week might not be so calm and on Social Media. Hey people deal with grief in different ways, I know… just saying.

Put in a plastic bag and rub with honey and cayenne? Are we sure this isn’t a recipe?

Is this “Kaitlin Bennett” person someone I should know or care about?

She’s some idiot blonde chick who posed with a gun for her highschool graduation or something.
College. Kent State, to be specific. Since then, she’s been a right-wing darling.
What’s with the diaper chant? I am so far behind on my memes!
She and her group at Kent State (Turning Point America) once did a series of protests against safe spaces by wearing diapers. They called it “wearing diapers to own the libs.”
And yes, this really happened.

Rumor is she got really drunk at a party and shit herself.
So… diapers and toilet paper.
Don’t feel bad for her, she walks up to overweight people, calls them fatties, mocks them and when they look like they might do something she threatens them with her gun (“You know I carry, right?”).
So fuck her self-shitting ass.
I don’t feel bad for her, was just curious about the diapers.
