I liked Bowie alright ever since he teamed up with Reznor back in the day, but he wasn’t really on my radar.

Lazarus and the timing/backstory of it, hit me pretty hard though.

Feel you need to jam you some Outside, AKA, that album where Bowie said, “But what if. . . Nine Inch Nails?”

My favorite of his, unsurprisingly, hah.

Oh, I started this post way up when before seeing @ShivaX’s. Yeee, Reznor x Bowie was good shit.

RawStory got Turhuned.

Update: “We’re fucking idiots who don’t even pretend to have any ethics or processes and were suckered by a known internet comedian. We’re the dumbest fuckers on the planet and should all be fired.”

If nothing else this has been entertaining to me:

Dunno how long he can keep up though. For whatever reason Joe has epic levels of CHUDs in his fan base.

That’s actually rather reassuring. I enjoy AngryJoe’s content and he gave off enough of a “bro” vibe I was afraid he might actually be a Trumper.

Joe has unironically used “SJW” as a way to mock people that have expressed concerns with some gaming content, so it’s not surprising that his audience consists of “gamers rise up” types.

Still, glad to see he’s standing for his vote.

Yeah Joe isn’t exactly socially aware but… Trump can unite a lot of people who are not exactly on the same page because he’s so awful.

He very much isn’t. He was drunk and on Twitch Election Night 2016 lamenting Trump’s victory.

I just don’t get why so many alt-right types are fans of his.

I mean, he’s not a Leftist by any means. He likes firearms. But otherwise, he’s really pretty liberal. At most he’s middle of the road. I suspect a lot of it is them projecting it onto him. Until 2016 he didn’t really say much political, so “he must be one of us”. Plus he’s from Texas! Or something.

There are many leftists who enjoy recreational shooting or even want to own a firearm for self-defense. The difference is that leftists think regulatory measures like registration, training, licensing, and restrictions on certain types of firearms (like semi-auto long guns) are good things.

I think most gun owners, regardless of political afflilation, actually support those things based on most recent polling.

Right, this issue is like abortion in that the extremists on one side dominate the political conversation, while the vast majority of people would actually be fine with a sensible compromise.

Depends on the actual measure. Going after “semi-auto long guns” isn’t going to be very popular with most gun owners (that’s super broad and hits a lot of guns people own). But better background checks, training and the like are fine with nearly everyone.

I’ll be honest the idea of having to take the time out to do a bunch of training that probably wont matter does sound annoying though. If I get grandfathered in, I’m fine with it though. :)

On the other hand, this is the least understandable segment of the population. Nobody has an actual need for an assault-style semi automatic rifle, and no one needs a hunting rifle with large magazine. If you need 5 or 10 rapid shots to put a deer down, you’re doing it wrong.

You think it’s about hunting when it isn’t.

It’s not even legal to hunt with a rifle in my state, for example.

Edit:

No, I know many of them want the guns for the coming civil war / rebellion. I just find that not understandable and am therefore not sympathetic to it.

I love an unexpected yet topical re-use of a meme!

I submit to you the Black Lives Matter, Cops Shooting People, GOP threads and so on.

A shitload of liberals have guns. They just don’t cosplay with them at Walmart.

Yeah, I’m far left, and I have my father’s service automatic, as well as four long guns I inherited. None of them have been fired in over 25 years. And in a couple of cases, over 100.
