Good. If the Nazis want their safe space, more power to them.
I wonder how much of that is folks d/l-ing to troll the nazis.

I don’t know, but it makes me happy to imagine it’s a lot!

Social media is occasionally good!*
*Not Facebook though
Yeah, the BBC has noticed too:
Poor snowflakes. They need a safe space to spew their crap.

Editor’s note: substitute “MeinSpace” for Parler".
None of these assholes are going to stick to Parler. They need an audience, and there is none there. They can download away.

I’ve mentioned this before, years ago, but this should still surprise no one: social media and disinformation is free to the readers and listeners while more than a fair bit of critical journalism and quality information is paywalled…so which do we think the masses are exposed to more often?

Very good point. I think the US equivalent of an unbiased public broadcaster / media outlet is NPR? Perhaps their budget really needs a HUGE boost?

Every time I think of NPR I think of late night radio shows peddling crap.
There has to be a better way though than what we’re doing now. Not enough people engage with quality journalism. Locking articles just causes people to flock to other and sometimes inferior sources.

Soo… you’re telling us that you have NPR confused with something else?

Possibly. I’m referring to the AM radio a number of truckers listen to. They call it public radio.
Pretty much every NPR affiliate in the country either plays wall-to-wall classical or jazz music or a live feed of the BBC from midnight to 6 am, so, no, I don’t believe those truckers you’re referring to are listening to NPR.

Whatever happened to Music from the Hearts of Space? I haven’t heard that on any NPR stations in years.
Still airing on bunches of public radio stations. They have a pretty keen website with a pulldown search for stations in your state that carry them: https://v4.hos.com/home
