Who could’ve possibly seen this coming?

Jack woulda never let this happen!

Gonna be honest, I wonder if this is somehow related to him stepping down.

The timing certainly does lead to that possibility.

I have to think they’re going to reverse this policy swiftly. I can only assume it’s going to drive people to competitors like Instagram, Facebook, etc. Not to mention it’s a bad look to be pulling stuff down at the behest of Nazis.

It’s also Classic Twitter.

But people on both sides are unhappy about it, so maybe something will happen.

It now appears that Twitter somehow did not anticipate Nazis using their new policy against their enemies.

What a bunch of idiots.

Ripley was right. IQs did drop sharply.

I have to say, unfollowing anyone who posts anything political that irritates me and adding a ragdoll cat group to my facebook groups has drastically improved my social media experience.

I can have all my political arguments anonymously on here :)

politics for all was a moderately sensationalist twitter account that linked to news stories and put their own spin on things. It got suspended. A lot of traditional media with less successful social media strategies were happy about this.

“Put their own spin on things” doesn’t tell me anything. How much research am I going to have to do to decide whether or not I should be momentarily outraged about this?

The good news? You can be outraged with no research at all!

Well you can’t easily do the research because twitter have made it all vanish!

They’d retell what they thought the interesting bit of the story was in a few words, and link to the article in a reply. They were accused of being right wing, and they probably skewed that way a little bit but nothing extreme. The owner had a part-time gig with the Spectator, but I certainly didn’t notice it linking to the spectator a lot.

Remember what this is really all about for the deplorables. No Jews allowed in their white Christian caliphate.

The image in question:

From the comments it seems that Politics for All might’ve been doing a number of things that were Twitter no-nos, including linking to stories for money without disclosing that they were sponsored; Twitter’s explanatory e-mail references that. Steven Bartlett’s extended thread gives no indication that he “knows the backstory” or has any reason to question Twitter’s integrity beyond the usual wingnut conspiracy mongering.

Gettr exec vs Gettr users?

Let them fight.
