Holy shit. That place sounds like a nightmare.
I can’t believe those people lasted that long. I kept waiting for them to say something like I had nowhere else to go, interviews weren’t working out or something but they seriously thought that horrific boss would somehow magically become a better person.
Also, don’t use official channels to blow off steam. I mean seriously, that’s the kind of shit you say during game night or at dinner with your friends, not on Company Slack, Teams, E-mail… whatever.
I see this all the time. So crazy. Do people not realize their company systems can, and are, monitored by their employer? Dumb.

I mean we’re all human so some things slip naturally into emails or conversations or even meetings… but this sounds like they set-up a company bitch session about people and things in general about the company, and then posted to it all day long thinking somehow management would never see it… that sounds nuts! Even e-mails, not only is BCC a thing, but I can’t tell you how many person to person e-mails I’ve seen because someone wanted to show me, and those people have no idea I know exactly what they wrote to someone else.
Privacy is just not a thing when it comes company stuff, and that includes not crazy boss run companies.

I don’t intend this to some like a “dumb millennials” comment, but I’ve found that a lot of younger folks don’t seem to have the same kind of reservations about saying stuff publicly. They don’t seem to have the same concerns about possible repercussions for saying things, with proof that they said them in digital form.
It seems weird to me, because i would have expected them to be even more careful about such stuff, having grown up with it.

I occasionally watch Judge Milian. She has a phrase that she uses. Say it forget it, write it regret it. Makes sense to me.

I sympathize with groups used to basically journaling all over social media, but that article is a clear example of on company platforms about the company. I cannot imagine how most would think that would go well. Still… also based on that article, I have a feeling they were recruiting one gullible and easy to overwork personality type that was also prone to do that very thing… drink the kool-aid and just spill.

Ubisoft responded with “Ubisoft.”
So, is “Ubisoft” a synonym for “you have fucked me”?

Is every employee of Facebook a sociopath or something? They are redefining corporate evil here.

Of course not! Just all the executives and people with decision-making power, apparently.
There’s no way I could ever get myself to draw a paycheck from that company. I don’t care how much they paid me.

And that’s not all…
It’s never enough for a leader to treat their employees like crap, they have to make sure they’re being harmed in the process too! And what’s better than having social media documenting the problem as their leaders do little to nothing to fix it?
People need to dump Facebook. Not going to happen, but I wish it would.

At least we live somewhere they can leak about it on social media? I’m not sure the kids in the Nike factories are huffing fewer glue fumes now than in the 80s… we’re just not hearing about it.

I suspect there has been some improvements there though not enough.
I am also not setting the bar that low in the USA just because there are challenges elsewhere. What’s unique about this though, at least I think it’s unique, is because of their no phone calls and no e-mail policies, even in the retail stores… these issues are basically recorded in their entirety on Slack. This is… I mean other companies have issues and email trails but the entire thing in one place, including what would normally be phone calls… this is just intriguing.
