Going to be interesting to see how this effects the PS3… but I guess most of us will never really know what was effected.
It used to be enough that Sony had better electronics. But now the actual electronics are becoming commoditized, and the key differentiators are software, industrial design, and marketing.
If Sony wants to be a competitive electronics company in the future, it needs to have a software guy at the helm. I don’t know much about Howard Stringer, but I don’t THINK he’s a software guy.
