When I first heard about the game I was half excited and half expecting it to be utter crap (as it was described as a final fantasy style RPG game).
I’m impressed though. I want to play :)
I didn’t even know this game existed until right now, but its looking fantastic. The animation and writing quality seems to be on par with the TV show, and the gameplay actually seems promising.

Who is this game aimed at? I don’t even know anyone that watches the show anymore. Maybe 5 years ago I’d of been interested.
I watch the show but I have no interest in the game, unfortunately. I’m just here because I think they could have funneled their brilliance at other games, I’d be more interested in. So, I’m kinda showing my anti-support I guess ;-)
I haven’t watched the show since college, but I’m interested enough to give it a try. A bit of late-night gaming to feel guilty about or something. :)
I’m with you, I haven’t watched the show in ages, but I will give an opportunity to the game.
I don’t watch the show much anymore either, but the times I have, it seems to still be of pretty high quality. Smart, funny. Yes it’s more uneven these days, but I think they’ve done a pretty good job considering how long it has been running. I would gladly check out this game if it is as well-crafted as the show.

It’s Obsidian and it’s an RPG, so I’m interested. The fact that it’s South Park interests me a little too because they can do something different from the norm, plus it will be chock full of humor (I hope).
Eurogamer is reporting the release date is December 13th. At least in the UK. I assume it’s the same in NA. I hope not. Games that come out after Black Friday tend to not do very well.
It’s hard for me to imagine this doing all that well no matter when it’s released. Unless they do such a remarkably good job they get word of mouth action in spheres of gamers who wouldn’t otherwise consider it, but that seems unlikely.

Ubisoft says the game needs to be “overhauled”. That’s a bad sign regardless if the developer is at fault or if the publisher is meddling without actually having a clue what they’re doing.
