Wow, the HD graphics look great. I’m ignorant of graphics tech stuff, but that seems like a much bigger upgrade than what I’ve noticed with the Age of Mythology and AoE remakes.

On the other hand, did anyone else notice that the ‘bad guy’ voice in that cutscene sounded a bit funny? Maybe I just prefer the voice acting in my (false?) memory, but it seems like they may’ve re-recorded it or changed it somehow.

Either way, that video really makes me want to replay HW1, and it makes me extra hopeful that there may finally be a Homeworld 3 in the offing.

As I understand it, they brought back all the original VAs to re-record their dialogue (with the exception of using the HW1 voice actress for Karan S’jet in both HW1 and HW2, where she was voiced by different people in the original games).

That’s because they redid the models, i think the AoE and AoM games just make it play at higher resolutions.

I just want to say that HES is the most maddening, frustratingly addictive game I’ve played in a long time. So far I’ve only beaten the first tutorial scenario, and that must have been by accident, because I’ve never been able to beat it since.

I just wish there was a strategic layer to the game. This combat engine in the right 4X would be great.
