Space Game General All-Platform Thready Discussy Thing :)

Cool, I’ll take a look at that tomorrow. Thanks!

Hey folks, I’m running a little contest wherein you can win a copy of the high fidelity spaceship sim, Rogue System. Please head to the site to check it out! Thank you and good luck!

I follow you on Twitter, Youtube, Steam, and here. But I don’t use Twitch or Facebook nor do I plan to. That means I can’t take part in the contest?

You can tweet about it?

I might put that on my list.

From reading the text, I get the impression that tweeting about it counts as an “extra” entry… if you have already entered by doing the other stuff.

All right, Brian, I long overdue followed you on Twitter and Steam group.

Thanks guys! :)

So I’m about to stream some TIE Fightet to put my new Roland MIDI module to the test. Please stop by and say hello!

So I was just curious and decided to install X-COM Interceptor since I got it in a package on Steam a while ago. Wow. The keyboard controls are… what’s the word I’m looking for? Counter-intuitive? No. Oh yeah, shit.

Joystick control is no better and may, in fact, be actually worse.

Damn shame, it’s one of the very few space sims with a dynamic campaign.

I was going to ask about joystick. Damn!

Oh yeah, it’s super terrible.

Bought http://empyriongame.com/ in the steam sale. Oh my, this is my kind of fun. A nice non scary, explore & craft game game. I just burnt a day playing it non stop :)

I was interested in that as well. Brian, does Empyrion meet the SGJ stamp of approval?

(How do you quote someone in this new software?)

I’ve enjoyed my time with it, and I typically can’t stand these builder focused game things. This and Interstellar Rift are the ones I’ve enjoyed the most. Take that how you will.

Oh you actually have to select text now in order to quote it.

Thanks.

And thanks!

Hello my friends, and welcome to another week of spacey gaming! Since it’s Independence Day today here in the States, I figured what better game to do this week than 1997’s amazing Independence War (I-War) from Particle Systems! Yay!

On the podcast this week (Tuesday, 5:30 PDT, YouTube, Twitch and Beam), we’ll be talking to one (or hopefully more, I’m not 100% yet) of the people who worked directly on one of my favorite games, Klingon Academy!

This week’s poll on what I should play Thursday evening at 5:30 PM PDT (YouTube, Twitch and Beam) exclusively includes games I got in the Steam sale, so head on over and vote! :)

Thanks for your time friends!

At what time are you playing this, Brian? I’m off to check YouTube Gaming in case it’s right now.

Oh I played it the other day, this isn’t live. :-\ Sorry!

No worries, I just misunderstood.
