Did you play with the Ultimate Mod 5?
No, I tried to keep it as vanilla as possible for the sake of the video. I usually don’t use mods.

If there’s one drawback, it’s that you have to install Stellaris again! :-P
Well, I actually think Star Trek: Legacy (2006) is pretty fun to play through (with a 360 controller!), even though it obviously would have been better with full 3D movement, a more coherent story, ships being a little tougher (battles are over quick!), and actually a fully-fledged skirmish option (you can’t pick enemy ships or maps, so reenacting the Mutara Nebula or other famous battles is impossible). It also wouldn’t have hurt if they had hired an actual director for the voice actors instead of having them phone in their performances.
I also have a soft spot for Star Trek: Conquest (2007). That’s not because it’s a good Star Trek game (it does literally nothing with the licence), but because it’s one of the few (only?) “arcade” strategy games out there that allows you to play a pseudo-4X game in a relatively short amount of time. It’s a nice, bite-sized alternative to the complex, long-form 4X games that we’re inundated with, and I just wish there were more games like that.
Conquest is also an example of a game where I think that the Trek licence hampered the appreciation of the actual product: it makes no sense for the Federation to be so bloodthirsty and genocidal. If it hadn’t been a Trek game, it would have been interesting to see how it would have been received and what a possible sequel might have looked like. Alas, we’ll never know.
But yeah, after 2006/2007, the pickings have been slim. I’ve had some fun with Star Trek: Timelines on my phone, but only up until the point where you really can’t progress without spending money. And it’s just not a good enough or interesting enough game to do that. I also bounced off Star Trek: Online, but that’s mostly because it’s as cumbersome and unattractive as most MMOs, so that might be my fault rather than the game’s.
Anyway, poor Star Trek. :-(
I keep meaning to try Trek Legacy. Conquest looks realllllllllllllly bad though.

Nah. It’s just simple. Don’t expect it to be like Galactic Civilizations or something. Take it as a very streamlined turn-based strategy game with arcade-style combat. It’s the kind of game you’d play to take a break from more sophisticated fare. The strategy layer is really more like a board game (you just buy ships and facilities, and you can only have a maximum of three fleets, with one specific admiral each). On BoardGameGeek, people have compared Star Trek: Ascendancy to Conquest and took that to be a good thing. ;-)
In any case, I’d be interested to read what you think of both Legacy and Conquest!

Ha!
BTW, here’s the BGG page about Star Trek Ascendancy, just in case anyone’s wondering. It’s 3 players and up, so there’s no way I’ll ever get to play it (I’m sticking with Star Trek: Frontiers for my cardboard Trek experience, since it supports solo and two player games).
Board Games! Who do I look like, Tom Chick? ;-)

It’s never too late to update your title to Space Video Game Junkie. :P

Yeah, what @Otagan said! :-P

Well Starfleet Coomand was based on a boardgame.
Just saying.
Who’s the idiot that thought launching without it was in any way acceptable?
Sure, but it’s still a video game. ;-)

By the way, I think this review of Star Trek: Conquest gives you a good idea of what to expect. Or at least, the review echoes my own thoughts on the game. ;-)
And Starfleet Command! What a great series of games. (And quite unlike Star Fleet Battles, if only because the game is real-time. And I actually think Starfleet Command 3 was a solid entry in the series that got rid of a lot of the needless detail that especially bogged down the second instalment and was also closer to Star Trek as far as the technology was concerned.)
Edit: Starfleet Command 3 doesn’t like modern systems, but modders have come to the rescue. To have it play nice with Windows 10, you’ll need this fix. To have it playable in full-screen at either 16:9 or 16:10, you’ll also need the HD fixes (this for 16:10 – I can’t find the 16:9 download now, but I have it on my PC if anyone wants it). There’s also a Windows 8 compatibility fix, if that’s your poison.
Further edit: the 16:9 fix can be downloaded here.

Dang. Amazon only has 2 copies of Bridge Commander available, both used, for $39.00. Would it even run on Win 10 64bit?

Runs fine here. But $39 is a lot of money…
Yeah, ain’t worth it.
Thanks for those mod links Josh. I should try to get SF3 running.
