Yeah I dove into the thread about NMS and I think I might try that now. =)
Not correct!
Welp, if you don’t mind 80s graphics, here are the games that had a direct affect on…well, you know

Hey friends, welcome to another week of spacey gaming, and the first week of Monday through Friday variety streaming! Keeping with the space games, we’ll be continuing our look at Interstellar Space Genesis, as well as a look at Space Mercs. I’ll hopefully have more pre-recorded videos as I have time and energy throughout the week. ;)
Since we’re now going to a daily format, I’m gonna change up how I do this next bit, so here we go (all times are Pacific):
- Monday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, TIE Fighter stream.
- Tuesday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, Age of Wonders: Planetfall stream. 5:00 PM - Podcast live broadcast, a look back at 1999.
- Wednesday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, Mechwarrior 3 stream.
- Thursday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, TheoTown stream. 5:00 PM, LAN Party live stream, The Pit: Infinity.
- Friday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, Interstellar Space Genesis stream.
You can see all of our planned upcoming streams and events on our calendar calendar, as always!
You can watch any of these streams on Twitch, YouTube, Mixer and Steam.
I am nervous as hell as to be embarking on this new endeavor, but also super excited!! Please note, while I’ve kept a four-hour block for all of these streams, I’m relatively new at this, so I might not be able to go for four hours at first, but damn if I’m not gonna try. :) Thanks for being awesome y’all, and I hope to see y’all sometime throughout the week.
PS. Again, if I have time and energy, I might do another Rebel Galaxy Outlaw stream or two. Keep an eye on the channels or social media for that, and thanks again!
Astrox Imperium update! My god, it’s full of sand!
Paging @BrianRubin about this youtube weirdness.

Figured you’d want to know!
Yes I know. It’s like the first week of a new job. I’m all scattered and tired and crap. I’ll be fixing it all soon.

Got an ad for this, has anyone heard of or played it?
The uncritical ad:
I know of Starbourne, but have yet to play it.
So this week was my first week toward doing this full-time, and consisted of daily streams. I am so tired, yet so happy and so excited. I had more viewers each day, fun and active chatrooms, and several new Patrons. I wanted to thank y’all in this thread for the support and encouragement, it’s meant the world to me.
But do you like this “side-gig” better than the full time stuff that you used to do?
What about the income stream?
Oh hell yes. I’ve been in SEO for fifteen years. It’s not BAD, but it’s not my passion. It’s just something I fell into that I happen to be good at.
I plan to supplement what I make from SGJ with freelance work. Don’t worry, I’ve got eggs in multiple baskets. I not only have a lead on some freelance work for some great PR folks, but I plan to launch my own gig as well within the next few weeks. So hopefully, with all of these avenues, I should be okay.
I appreciate your concern. :) I’ve, however, had this plan in place for MONTHS once I realized that my former employer was likely to let me go after their “trial” period.
I’m really not worried about your income stream. More just wondering how it is going, it is viable, etc. Sorry, but what the heck is SEO???
Anyway, I am really happy that you can do this full time. Wish I could break away from my Mcjob and do something like this FT.
Search Engine Optimization. The act of making a site more valuable/usable for users so that it becomes more valuable in the eyes of search engines.
Thank you! This is something I’ve always wanted to do. I kinda did it back in the early 2000s as a paid professional video game journalist, but now this is my own creation, and I couldn’t be more excited.
I wish you the best of luck, and I wish I could do the same!
Hey friends, welcome to another week of spacey gaming! We have a massively busy week this week, starting with our first of two games of the week, the super-fun Subdivision Infinity DX, which I began last week and will continue all this week, including a stream on Friday! This week’s SECOND game of the week will begin on Tuesday with the much-anticipated release of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, which will then continue for the next two weeks!
Speaking of, if you missed them, I’ve done several Rebel Galaxy Outlaw preview streams recently, so if you can’t wait until Tuesday, please feel free to check them out. :)
I’ve also got some written content for you! For ages I’ve wanted to do more guides, but time and energy were always limited. Well no more, as I present to you my definitive guide on buying a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick!
Moving on from pre-recorded content, here’s this week’s streaming schedule:
- Monday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, TIE Fighter stream.
- Tuesday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, Jupiter Hell stream. 5:00 PM - Podcast live broadcast, a discussion about expectations.
- Wednesday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, FarCry 2 stream.
- Thursday - 8:00 AM-???, Space Game Junkie 8th-anniversary stream. 5:00 PM, LAN Party live broadcast, Dying Light.
- Friday - 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, Subdivision Infinity DX stream.
You can see all of our planned upcoming streams and events on our calendar, as always!
You can watch any of these streams on Twitch, YouTube, Mixer and Steam.
That should do it for this week y’all. Thanks so much for being awesome, and I hope to see you in the streams or in the comments! Have a great week!

Anyone else remember Solar Winds from 1993, published by Epic MegaGames?
Hell yeah I played both of them.

Shit. I forgot there was a paid continuation in that shareware model. I only played the first episode!

Hey, who remembers this one:
A buddy of mine had this, and for years I assumed that the line " Based on Warhead by Glyn Williams" in the manual meant there was a (no doubt paperback) sci-fi novel behind the game, and I tried (obviously unsuccessfully) more than once to track said novel down. Just popped into my head with the Old Games talk.
