Cool link! I’ll have to look at it some more later. 8)
I’m embarassed at how much fun I found that site… Lining up all the Enterprise ships and comparing their sizes… :-)
One of the links from the site had a metric buttload of information about the sizes of the various Death Stars as gleaned from the movies and various “technical” (aka fantasy) readouts. My feeling about this is that it is a phenomenal waste of time.
I would much rather see somebody analyze what it would take to build a 600 mile diameter Death Star II. I mean…it’s supposed to be SIX HUNDRED FRIGGIN MILES in diameter!
What kind of self-gravity would the DS2 generate? How much material are we talking about? Why can’t science fiction writers be more like Arthur C. Clarke?
I mean, 2001 is going to still be considered a classic in 2101. Star Wars will merely be a trivia answer in all likelyhood.
There’s always this:

My God… it’s full of stars…
Bomb site, thanks.
Great, thanks Loyd. You need to add a disclaimer stating “Warning: Reading these links may caues a lowering of IQ and/or severe brain damage”
The amount of thought that was put into those arguments is amazing. If we could get these people’s brains working on something in the real world, the world would be a better place.
Seriously.
I worry about people who take images from a movie and analyze them as if they were evidence.
I hope these people are just doing this for a lark.
