Star Citizen - Chris Roberts, lots of spaceship porn, lots of promises

A file/directory name can stick around long after it means anything just so you don’t have to change things on your build.

They claim to have fully switched to Lumberyard. That’s the default install path for CryEngine. I have both. So I know. It was just one thing that jumped at me. I wrote about that switch in one of my blogs.

Yes, but that’s not the case here. Plus, neither CryEngine nor Lumberyard force any paths in their tools. Also, installing Lumberyard into the same folder as CryEngine is, well, try it and see for yourself. Both are free to download.

I laughed at this. Space Madness Star Citizen is beyond a joke. Yet for some reason, I can’t stop laughing…

That’s gold.

The article is amazing, but the comments are fucking golden:

Bjorn here is my favorite:

By Bjorn’s standards, Trump is, well, God.

Yeah, we know those guys. They pop up everywhere. They’re a collective special kind of stupid.

Bjorn: You don’t know me!

I wonder which is harder: designing SC or actual IRL rocket science. It seems that if you keep throwing money at rocket designers, you end up with some pretty cool rockets.

Do you really have Smarticles that need to be kept warm using tin foil in your pocket? I read it on the Internet.

BRACE FOR IMPACT!! THE BIG ONE IS HERE!!

Yes. Why are you asking?

I’m on the edge of my seat!

I’m braced, I’m braced! Hurry, drop it like it’s hot otherwise I’ll have to do work.

My guess is confirmation of ToS changes coming as 3.0 ‘launches’ to the masses, rather than any impending financial woes.

My guess is Chris Roberts announces he will execute one backer in the street every day until the project is complete. You know, for morale.

So, @dsmart, how many companies exactly are their involved in building this game now?
