@BrianRubin spent $800, and there are actually a lot of people in this thread that backed the project, if I recall.

That’s a lot of money then, so I better understand his displeasure.
No one expects Basil Rathbone!

Wow this thread moves fast.
At least we got sent our shiny metal cards…
I backed the Kickstarter at $120 for the Freelancer package, and then got suckered by their car-style commercials and bought a few ships.
I then resold those other ships at a pretty awesome profit (which I used to buy a lifetime license for Elite: Dangerous) and kept my original Freelancer, so ultimately I’m in for $120.
That’s not so bad. $800 was shocking.
Maybe you want to buy a RSI Constellation? :-)

It comes with a extra ship you can look at, and a cockpit that blocks your view in most directions + Swivel chair.
That’s one of the ships I bought and then sold. Made around $100 on it since it had lifetime insurance.
Brian brings up a good point that ships with Lifetime Insurance are worth more now than what they originally sold for.
Oh.
Wonder if there’s still a market for it. Maybe I can earn money on this instead of it being a loss. Why bother with Bitcoin when you can mine StarCitizenCoins.
Well, you cant Mine anything for years (if at all), I guess… but metaphorically speaking.
Surely a PRISTINE Never used RSI Constellation with LTI will be worth more than 700$ in todays dollars.
Right? I feel bad for folks who’ve spent THOUSANDS.

How is it not delayed?
The Javelin Destroyer is a giant capital ship with Minimum Crew: 23
I don’t even see a single reference to the ship or multiple crew support on the current schedule through the end of the year or including 3.1 and 3.2:
Am I missing a schedule for when those things would be done? Do you think people who have bought it would consider it done without having multiple crew functionality? I don’t understand how you could claim that it is not delayed.
To my larger point, how many people does it take deciding to stop buying concept ships and as for $1.5k+ refunds to start to impact their bottom line?

Even if you still believe in the game, wouldn’t you consider pulling out your $2.5k for a Javelin Destroyer when it isn’t even on the schedule to be completed without even factoring in how overly optimistic the schedule seems to continue to be.
Man, the price on the original has dropped a lot since they introduced all the fancy other options :(
Wow, there’s 1400 constellations for sale… and I was gonna offer it up as a pristine, never used, version even…
Yeah, if you blow a grand in a pay2win game like Archeage or whatever at least you can completely dominate and destroy other human beings with your gigantic e-peen. You get something out of it. But with Star Citizen there is no game.
Wait, aren’t they all pristine, never used versions at this point?
Now now, there is a game…thing…
Yes, that being the joke :)

That’s more reasonable… So it’s not like some crippling economic loss.
I guess I don’t.
I mean… this isn’t buying a game. It’s not a pre-order. When you give money to a crowd funded thing, it’s on you to know what you’re getting, which absolutely could be nothing.
If you aren’t comfortable with that, just wait.
That’s what I tell folks… just chill out and wait until they have something you actually want before handing over money. There’s no advantage to giving money to them early. You don’t get some advantage over other players later on.
True, but you’d also go in with the expectations that those you give 150m$ would honour that pledge (lol, in this world?) and try to give you a working quality product as soon as possible. If they could go back, I’d think a stretch goal at 2-3m should’ve been “Project Manager”.
