So on the stream right now they are using Track IR to map the player’s facial expressions onto the character. Looks neat but a good example of focusing on flashy features before fundamentals.

Pilot machine crashed in the middle of the demo. Another of the demo players has tried to pilot the ship. It’s not working and they don’t know what to do.

Yep, it’s almost a perfect example of feature that looks very cool and nextgen, so impress people on the live demo, but in truth there are several commercial software that does this, they just plugged once into their engine, so the effort wasn’t that big. Meanwhile that cool and shiny feature can be a distractor of the real state of the game.
They restarted the demo. They’re getting the mission again and the dialog with the mission guy is not skippable, it seems. That’s some good planning there!
