lol. well I am fine with whatever the basic stuff is. The starcitzen website makes this very hard to figure out.
I guess its this for $45 which is fine if thats the price of the game sans extra ships. But what the hell does “3 months insurance” mean?
edit: wait, I guess its similar to the Elite model then? Small in game currency to get back your ship? What happens if you die with not enough in game money?
Yes. But as long as you stay away from players with powerful ships, you don’t intent to mine, do the cargo runs etc, you’ll be fine. That base ship doesn’t support any of that nonsense you see.
You become a slave. Sheesh man, read the fine print under " What happens if I don’t have insurance?"
The Star Citizen whale pledge numbers are in for CitizenCon. I guess bs has its limits. I hope whale keeps giving them money because what’s coming next would be that much more hilarious.
So you remember that new Kraken (totally not scope creep though) ship from the Star Citizen event last week? Sure you do. It’s so special that it’s invite only to BUY it. And it’s sold in waves (totally not kidding). The whale call just went out from CIG.
But I wanted to trade and mine. Also what missions do NPC’s provide for the broke player, they give you a ship for a mission? I havent seen any videos of that happening.
Yeah I think I am gonna stick to videos of this one for a while.
This system seems very convoluted and frankly smells funny. Which is what you have been saying for a long time.
Due to an overwhelming number of applicants, an extremely limited hull supply, and the importance of game balance in the universe, availability is at a premium.
What?
To captain a Kraken is to captain the future itself.
Losing a ship without insurance won’t happen during the whole testing phase. Right now, insurance never runs out:
Currently, on the Alpha and Public Test Universe (PTU), all ships and vehicles are given a basic insurance plan that does not expire to facilitate testing. At this time, it currently requires no upkeep or fee for players to acquire basic ship loss coverage. There may be a fee to file a claim or expedite a replacement, however.
Once the game goes live, CIG has stated that insurance would be relatively inexpensive and you could easily maintain it with the credits you earn from missions. It is intended as a money sink.
Should you ignore the prompt when your insurance is about to run out and get your ship blown up afterwards, then there will be ways to regain credits to rebuild your fleet (potentially missions lending you a ship, on planet missions, maybe bank loans repayable from mission money).
I don’t think any of that is set in stone. But maintaining the insurance shouldn’t be a burden. That said, it’s a non issue right now.
I really don’t give much of a crap about Derek being a one track troll about this game. His concerns are justified and it’s always good to have people watching. But he’s very one sided. And him giving answers to honest questions about the game irks me. There is trolling the game company he had a feud with and then there is being an ass to people.
But hey, that’s just me.
(Apologies for the edits. I still suck at spelling on a phone keyboard)
Now’s the perfect time! They are selling waves of a limited edition space aircraft carrier to people who emailed them requesting a slot. While this spaceship is not in the game and there is absolutely no schedule for when it might be in the game you can get in on this very limited offer today!
Better act now, you already missed out on the Idris when limited quantities were sold for $1000+ in 2013 *
Better act now, you already missed out on the Javelin when limited quantities were sold for $3000 in 2014 **
* Note - You did not miss out because it is 2018 and the Idris is not in the game yet.
