Individual Playoffs:

Thraeg 10 > Mithrophon -1 = 11

A fast-paced slugging match where we each landed a 6-cost offensive ship on turn 3. I got the better bargain with a Blob Carrier that soon picked up a Command Ship, while his Missile Mech just convinced me never to buy a base. Could have easily gone either way depending on the final shuffle.

Command has learned via text that Patience Peeps hit her Basic Blue goal as well, so her ship should have acquired a second upgrade – which it does! Too bad about the color, though.

ankamela is in Sector 02 and her ship Patience Peeps has these upgrades:
o Tractor Beam: (1x) If you lose but your score is within 10 of your opponent, you may use the jump point.
o Lost Colonists: Add 3 to team score.
o Green Jewel: The Green team score increases by 1-3-6-10 (etc) based on the total number of Green Jewels owned by all of the Green team members at the end of the adventure.

All my remaining challenges for the SR 14 individual playoff sent now.

SR 15: holsten > anniepeeps, 62:-3 difference 65. 22 dmg on the last turn, I guess I hit the basic green goal

I understood correct it was only 1 game? If not I am sorry and love to play more @ ron

There was no way I could recover from your early 28-point damage turn, where all your blobs + needle all came out of the top of your deck and your starter cards stayed behind.

The original ‘1’ for me was a typo. I’m playing 3 these days.

ron 1 : craiggiarc 0
ron 0 : holsten 2
ron 0 : delirium 1

ron 0 : rainraven 0

Nice :)
I deleted my false report… so I have a new chance for a goal (or a bitter defeat ^^). And Dave has more time to hand me some nifty Upgrades for my victory against ankamela :)

delirium defeats K_Wattington and completes his basic green goal (final attack was 26 damage)

I just want to point out that you buttholes are completing the basic goal way too frequently and that I hate everyone who told me to tone down the goal standards and if everything is ruined and people quit playing IT IS ON YOU.

SR15:
Mithrophon over delirium 45-0
Not enough starter cards banished to meet any goals, but I’ll take the W.

The Heart of Gold II scans the battlefield and…

…(how awesome, gold dice!) finds some aggressive upgrades at a local repair bay!

Holsten-Knight is in Sector 02 and his ship Heart of Gold II has these upgrades:
o Tractor Beam: (1x) If you lose but your score is within 10 of your opponent, you may use the jump point.
o Flak Bomb: (1x) After you win, destroy one of your opponent’s upgrades at random.
o Hull Beam: If you win by more than 50 authority, destroy all of your opponent’s upgrades.

Is there any wonder that delirium’s happy-go-lucky ship picks up…

delirium is in Sector 02 and his ship Spring Break Party Cruise has these upgrades:
o Boosted Scope: Add 5 authority to your score at the end of your final game of each match.
o Flak Bomb: (1x) After you win, destroy one of your opponent’s upgrades at random.
o Devoted Crew: If you lose a match but your final authority is -5 or greater, jump to the next sector.

…a devoted crew upgrade?

Mithrophon’s ship Men Without Helmets (my wife’s favorite ship name, incidentally) trades some stolen medicine for…

an upgrade before they jump to Sector 02.

Mithrophon is in Sector 02 and his ship Men Without Helmets has these upgrades:
o Repair Module: (1x) Prevent the destruction of another of your upgrades.
o Headquarters: At the end, boost (by 2) the points earned by each team member in your final sector.

Doesn’t that ship get a Safety Dance upgrade?

I haven’t started playing S15 games yet, so I’m curious: do you find that being allied with a faction has influenced how you play?

Oh so that’s what Mith was naming his ship after!

Duh!

Yes, I’m viewing “Factions” the way I view “Events” in Ascension: All else equal, I try to bias my play towards that color.

Of course, in Star Realms so many turns have no credible alternatives; you certainly don’t pass up a great card for a lesser one of your team faction.

Not me, but well green does not depend on dealing dmg with green cards. Other colors can also deal a lot of damage. But I try to focus max damage output on the last turn… Not that you can influence it that much, but I try.
