Heart of Gold II’s crew lies exhausted in their bunks as Captain Holsten roams the ship, personally inspecting the damage. He decides to dock at a Repair Station before jumping to S07.

While at the Station, he meets an unusual person:

Psychic Lifeform: Adds 5X authority to your score at the end of each match, where X is the number of Psychic Lifeforms equipped by your entire team.

Holsten, what do you do?

Holsten-Knight is in Sector 07 and his ship Heart of Gold II has these upgrades:
o Tractor Beam: (1x) If you lose but your score is within 10 of your opponent, you may use the jump point.
o Hull Beam: If you win by more than 50 authority, destroy all of your opponent’s upgrades.
o Lost Colonists: Add 3 to team score.

My next turn I had you discarding 4 out of your thinned out deck, and I was hoping I’d get lucky enough with my next draw to maybe finish you off, but I knew I couldn’t hold you off much longer. Ah well…

Oh and Holsten discovers a Secret thanks to hitting the Super goal! Hang on…

While talking to the Psychic Lifeform in Sector 06, Holsten learns of an interesting shop in the Repair Station…

<<< Secrets >>>

Sector 01: Dave’s Garage - Swap any upgrade for one of the starter upgrades.
Sector 02: Black Market - You may sell one of your upgrades for 3 team points.
Sector 03: [ unknown ]
Sector 04: [ unknown ]
Sector 05: [ unknown ]
Sector 06: The Jeweller - You may sell an upgrade to change the color of a Jewel upgrade.

Would you like to visit The Jeweller, Holsten?

I don’t have a jewel, can I also change the color of a jewel someone else has in his ship, or is floating somewhere in space? :)

You have to have it in your possession. :P

I made up these Secrets before the game started, so they might be uncool like this to their discoverers!

But bear in mind that I love when players bend the rules, or try to. Why couldn’t a ship’s captain refuse to use a jump point after winning a battle?

Ok, I ignore the jeweller, say goobye to the psycho and move on with the Items I have.

Oh and I see I won by more than 50 points against mithrophon, hull beam and stuff… Sry mithro -.-

Oooooh damn! Thank you for pointing that out. Ouch.

SR 14 individual playoff: Holsten > clyve 28:-8. difference: 36

No prob. Haven’t used an upgrade yet, hasn’t hurt me thus far. Let’s see if the Red team can pick it up and help cover for my equipment losses here.

Mithrophon is in Sector 08 and his ship Men Without Helmets has these upgrades:
o [ open ]
o [ open ]
o [ open ]

So many little bits of upgrade float away into the black. :(

Nope, I’ll hold onto the scrap bot, thanks :)

May team playoffs: just one game left! Or did I miss Brakara vs bobm?

I think the Ambassador thing is that I get a sector boost if you win your next game (no current Ambassador example in OP for me to double check).

In any case, like Denny, I am on your team!

When someone plays an Ambassador on a teammate, the teammate should declare the use of it, if you don’t mind. So, if Annie challenges me next, she should declare the challenge and say that this is the Ambassador challenge.

I struggled with my conscience for a while and relented… Holsten beat me 44 to -17, I should’ve been hull-beamed :(

Kyle 43 over Craig -13

1 last-turn discard for the basic bonus :)

Woops, sry I forgot to check. Thumbs up for the fair sportsmanship… This hull beam is kind of awesome, the only item I used so far but 3 times now ^^

I don’t think that it should fall on the losing party to remember such things. :(

It should be on me, or on the person who reported the score. Doesn’t that make more sense? If anyone disagrees, lemme know.
