I have challenges pending from Fire and Holsten but will wait until I see what rewards I have before starting them!
I’ll ditch the Flak Bomb for the Plasma Shield.
@ fire ok, now I could understand if you resign this one, as it is only our first game. And I see really no good outcome possible for you anymore. I started with the better gambit cards for the cards in the middle, that plus your bad luck with your trade cards decided this one early.

OK Chronic, you can stop with the excess luck any time. First game, you went 2nd and the needle was there for you, followed next turn by a Freighter (I was amazed the game was as close as it was). Second game, you go second… and guess what? What, how could you have guessed Stealth Needle???
Just remember our games, and think of freighter and needle as bad cards!
edit: oh wait that was my 3 awesome games against scott, sad that you couldn’t watch those. But as a hint: 2 times freighter+needle before the first shuffle lost the game. And the 3rd game saw also a freighter in the first turn and the one losing the game ;)
No worries Chronic. I still don’t have gambit, so I had to decline. We can always play another game for fun after!

I am apparently the king of awesome losses. I think I was up by 60 to 1 just now vs Annie. Two turns later, I lost by a score of -15 to 2.
oO this sounds brutal, although my game against dave was alike. more than 40 points ahead and 2 turns later a loss by 40 points… But I could see it coming as his deck was really trimmed.
Oooo - the hex (not mentioning the possibility that chronic might have a 3-scout / 2-viper 1st draw) worked. I might have to give up this ‘strictly no belief in anything supernatural’ thing after all. Unless karma now dictates that I go on to lose despite the early needle, in which case I shall have to continue disbelief in hexes and karma.

I was obviously very wrong at the beginning when I said the Tractor Beam was a good idea because I was expecting to lose a lot of close games. Look at this set against Mithro:

Of the 12 games I’ve played this season, only 3 were even within 20, much less 10.

I’ve been keeping screenshots of wins/losses on my iPad (since the game deletes them so quickly), and as I look at this season, I only have us having played the one game so far. Which also jibes with my memory, as I was focusing on playing all the one-game people first and so far Holsten is the only multi-game series I’ve finished.
