The aforementioned Mech World was the difference, I got it early, kept it deployed for a lot of turns, so used it often.

Psychic Lifeform: Adds 5X authority to your score at the end of each match, where X is the number of Psychic Lifeforms equipped by your entire team.

o Boosted Scope: Add 5 authority to your score at the end of your final game of each match.
o Flak Bomb: (1x) After you win, destroy one of your opponent’s upgrades at random.
o Psychic Lifeform: Adds 5X authority to your score at the end of each match, where X is the number of Psychic Lifeforms equipped by your entire team.

Mithrophon also has a lifeform, so you and he will add 10 authority after each match, meaning that if you ever lose by less than 10, you can use the jump gate to get to the next sector!
