The basic goals just give you an extra upgrade, not extra points. The bonus points on the grid are from one of the sector Secrets.

o Ambassador: (1x) Play before one of your teammates makes a challenge; if your teammate wins, you jump to the next sector for free.
o Gauss Cannon: If you win by at least 30 points, randomly destroy one of the opponent’s upgrades.

I will ditch my Repair Module in S07 and pick up the Headquarters that is floating there.

Dave P is in Sector 07 and his ship Scarlet Unicornne has these upgrades:
o Headquarters: At the end, boost (by 2) the points earned by each team member in your final sector.
o Ambassador: (1x) Play before one of your teammates makes a challenge; if your teammate wins, you jump to the next sector for free.
o Gauss Cannon: If you win by at least 30 points, randomly destroy one of the opponent’s upgrades.

craig gets +20 from his upgrades (another person on the Red team has a Lifeform), but it’s not quiiiite enough to bump him past Denny’s score! If this had happened, Craig would have jumped to the next Sector for free. (I don’t think that this has happened YET in this adventure! I should have made the score boosters more effective.)

delirium is in Sector 06 and his ship Spring Break Party Cruise has these upgrades:
o Boosted Scope: Add 5 authority to your score at the end of your final game of each match.
o Devoted Crew: If you lose a match but your final authority is -5 or greater, jump to the next sector.
o Lost Colonists: Add 3 to team score.

delirium misses the cutoff for Devoted Crew by just 1 point. Damn, son!
