Game 2 was a “I was given the better Gambit” game, the take-a-4 when the freighter was up. Or a star market, I forget. But my freighter was MVP eventually either way.

That game you just won, matttutor! One of the closest I’ve played in a long time. Hindsight tells me I probably could have won it if I’d scrapped my Imperial Frigates a couple of turns earlier, since I had three of them on the same turn. But I was too conservative and all those bases you had did the job! Great game! Game 3 will have to be a whopper to top that one.

3 and 6 for the season. Terrible, really! Congrats to my opponents, I was lucky to take 2 of 3 from Holsten and could only manage one win vs Beatrix. Annie beat me soundly in all 3 games. I think I’m in the Group of Death.
I was plagued by Command Ship in a lot of these games, though I managed to snag it myself for the final win against Beatrix. I don’t recall a string of games like this where it was a factor - I think it was in at least 6 of these games.

That last game with clyve got away from me (bad draws to start so went power, which he destroyed later with all his awesome cards).
