Anybody wants to play some non-league games with the new expansion, please challenge me! Bought it last night.
Just bought the new expansion in the app. They didn’t make it easy, did they? I had to click the little news-item picture on the main screen, then it made me log in (even though I was already logged in), then it kicked me back out to the main screen, so I had to wait on the news-item picture to come up again, and finally then it let me buy it.

Am I missing something, or did they take away the “Gambit ships and bases only” option again in the new version? I only see Promos, Gambits, and Bases&Battleships as my choices for adding to the base set when starting a new game. No way to avoid only the Gambit starting cards.
The ‘promos’ and ‘gambits cards’ both have a badge with a G (for Gambits) - the bases & battleships have a B (for Crisis, obviously). It looks like choosing Promos + Bases/Battleships but not Gambit Cards gets both set of expansion cards without using the 2 gambit base-like non-base things. Clear?

Thanks - Clyve helped me with the same understanding over on Slack. Apparently the stuff from Gambits that isn’t the random starter cards is now called “Promos”. A clear explanation in the app would have been nice, but heck, if you can’t rely on the Internet to explain your poor UI design, there’s nothing left to believe in!

The Keplers send ankamela (6) and Chronic (8).
The Copernicii send fire (6) but there’s a three-way tie at 4 points for second place. DennyA (4) won both of his series 2-1 versus the others who are tied with him, so he’s the mover-on-er.
The Galileos send Mithrophon (7) and Thraeg (5) has the tie-break advantage over ether33, so he moves on.
The Huygenses have a three-way tie for first place, with me (5) and ineffablebob (5) each having the 2-1 tiebreak advantage over ron, who misses the playoffs by the slimmest possible margin. Argh!
