I am a sucker for all things TREK , so of course I blindly threw my money at the screen.
Anyone else getting this? Its from the developers who made Bioshock 2. So I have some hope of a good game. :)
The entire movie cast signed on to do likeness and voice work, and the story for this takes place between the first movie and the new movie coming out this year. And the main enemy in game is the GORN.

Just to clarify though: Digital Extremes is the company that made the superlative Darkness II. 2K Marin did the single player portion of Bioshock 2, while Digital Extremes did the multiplayer portion of that game. It’s still an excellent pedigree, but I didn’t want you to think 2K Marin did this one.
One thing holding me back from pre-ordering is the shift towards being a Co-op shooter. I’m wondering if that means I should hold off until I can get a Co-op partner to play through the game with, which might not be possible for a couple of years.
The gameplay I’ve seen has looked a bit grim to me but I anxiously await impressions from you guys. I’m a sucker for anything Star Trek, I just wish that this looked more like the Elite Force games (or even an RPG) than The Force Unleashed 2. Still, I’m holding out some hope.

Bioshock 2 multiplayer was fun , P2P connections killed it tho.
Darkness 2 was decent , though I never finished it since the story never connected with me. Combat was solid.
Not a must-buy, but high up in the GameFly queue. The Bioshok 2 devs being involved is a definite plus.
I was just the other day marveling at what a bad idea Starfleet of Two sounded like. But I figured it was some no-name licensed game studio behind it. With that pedigree, it might actually be worth a look.
