Hmm… Star Trek: Andromeda ?
Well at least fans can stop complaining they haven’t advanced the series into the future.
Crap, not till 2020? When’s Picard coming again?

Picard starts airing January 23rd. Presumably we won’t get Discovery until the fall.
I’m not watching any trailers for Season 3. I don’t want to know what the future has in store until the season actually starts ends (and I binge watch the season).
I loved the first two seasons, I only recently finally watched them and I fucking devoured them. Some of my all time favorite Trek, and it makes me even more excited for Picard.
That trailer really nailed it, not that I needed to be even more hyped.
Having watched, and realized there are actually 3 episodes, and I only posted the last one, I can honestly say you are very much wrong. On all fronts.

It’s a single episode; that’s someone who illegally posted it on YouTube and broke it into parts.
The short take episodes that bridged season 1 into 2 were all of them fantastic stories and in at least one case tied into S2 events directly.

Which I felt was a bit of a problem, as they weren’t available in all regions :/
(In the UK they released them at the same time as S2 and shoved them in the ‘trailers’ section of Netflix. Thankfully I was aware of them so we watched them before S2 started!)

S1 kinda bounced off me. Is S2 better?
IMO S2 had plot holes you could fly a starship through, but it was enjoyable enough if you resolved to just not think about it too much.
Others here seem to have liked it better.
S2 has A LOT more fan service and connections to TOS. So better or not depends on whether that’s a pro or con for you.
I personally preferred S1 because I don’t like temporal shenanigans (an admitted Trek staple), which S2 is built around.

I’ve never seen Netflix so seemingly deliberately hiding content like that before. No heads-up, no notification. And until that point, I did not know of the existence of the trailer section to begin with.
Someone previously linked to a piece on how CBS wanted a huge load of money for the shorts - and Netflix refused to pay. Them now quietly putting them into the trailer section, however, feels more like something they were obligated to put up, but didn’t want anyone to see.

Oh come on… that’s what almost killed Enterprise for me. Stupid time travel, get out of my space show.
It’s not as bad as Enterprise (as of yet). There are only two people doing the time traveling so far.
BUT BUT BUT Section 31 is starting to have a bigger role, and this is likely to remain true going into the next season.
Why the producers are doubling or tripling down yet again on Section 31 when they were not popular in Enterprise I don’t understand.
